“Good location”
Reviewed 21 June 2014 via mobile

It was our first time to split, we found this was a perfect location, easy to access the town centre and explore the nearby sights. There were a few times when the staff weren't able to help us but mostly they tried. Breakfast was average, the bread everyday was stale and if you aren't there by 9- breakfast finishes at 10, there is hardly anything left. Also our room was on the road side, the trams are loud however they stop at about 12 so they aren't too much of a hassle however the curtains are yellow and the light shines directly through them! We had multiple sleepless nights as it was so bright.

It was affordable, we did enjoy our stay in split. Also you can access wifi from the Einstein restaurant across the road, (there's no wifi at the hotel at all unless you pay)- password is pizza pizza

Dear Jonea.
Thank you for your time to write us this review. We try to improve the service in our hotel. Your room was noisy, because the hotel is near to center, but like you say, the hotel have a great location.
Thank you very much for your staying in our hotel.
With kind regards. Fojtíková Iveta.

First time to Prague and a little apprehesive.
Pleasantly suprised and although not the most select of districts when we wondered off to the side streets there was a good selection of bars resturants off the main rd on which the hotel was based.

Room Tip: Try to get a room off the main road if possible as its a main tram line. Having said that they don...

A good value basic hotel a short distance out of the city centre, past the railway and near the Zizkov TV mast.
Good double glazed rooms to keep out the sounds of the main road and a pleasant continental breakfast. Plus plenty of reasonable bars and restaurants nearby. Free WiFi at the "Einstein" across the street.

Stayed in Hotel Victoria with retired friends on our annual spring city break. Found the hotel to cater for exactly what we look for ie clean, comfortable, economical and good location
We tend to explore the city we visit by day and then stay around the hotel for meals at night. Plenty of good places to eat around the Victoria and at reasonable prices, would especially recommend the Spirit bar which is about a five minute walk, over the main road and then down the hill where the food was excellent with a wide choice to suit all needs
Saw the previous reviews around the noise from the trams if you stay in one of the rooms at the front but not an issue for us, each of the three couples had these rooms and we all slept well,we found that the beer helped to dull any excess noise!
We used the trams to explore the city, a three day pass covers all modes of transport in the city, it costs 310k but can only be purchased at one of the main metro station, the shops beside the trams stop only sell tickets which last for 30 or 60 mins
There is a tram stop about 200 metres from the hotel and we used the no 9 tram to get to the city centre, best tram to see the main sites is the no 22, especially useful to get to the castle area to avoid the steep climb via the more traditional route
All in all Hotel Victoria was a great choice for our party.

Room Tip: Use the extensive tram system to explore this wonderful city

Basic breakfast ( one day had pasta :P). Easy access to center and old town by tram.
Customer service has much to be improved!, the attendant called my attention to not fill my own bottle of water from the breakfast place because it was not breakfast time, who in earth deny water to someone ? what ridiculous!.
To not forget the face of "I'm not really willing to help you... but as I must to do it unfortunatelly ", that same face I got from the same 3 different attendants at the reception. I really don't get why people work for people if they have no skills for that.

Dear guest
Thank you for your stay in our hotel and for your response as well. We are really sorry that you are not satisfied with your stay in hotel Victoria. The automat is only for breakfast time (7:30 – 10:00), after breakfast time you can bay water and another drinks from fridge onthe reception, from the minibar in your room, or in hotel is a drinking water. We know the breakfast room isn’t close after breakfast, because we don´t have place like that, but after breakfast time we really like serve to you coffee, tea or any drinks. We didn´t have a complain for our recepcionist, but we notice that and we will try to do the best for our guest.
With kind regards.Fojtíková Iveta.

two friends had a lovely 3 day break here. Its a little out the way - 3 tram stops from the old town center( one journey ticket is 24k each way) where we could discover Prague. Its location is ideal as once you come back there are lovely bistros to have a cheap meal at half the city cost all on the same street as the hotel. The hotel itself was clean beds comfortable breakfast fresh and plentiful. Staff were always helpful and accommodating.

Room Tip: There is a noise from the trams if you think this will bother you request a room on the top floor
