“Basic but clean hotel”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 July 2013

We stopped here for five nights. The location is around 40 minutes walk to the main Center and the shops which in parts can be at night can be a little creepy at times.the hotel itself is very basic and standard however they are clean. The receptionist was very helpful with information about the city.

Spended 5 nights at the hotel. Great room and polite service.
Breakfast was great, eggs, varity of bread; cheese and juice.
Lots of good restaurants in the neighborhood, and bus 207 going downtown just 2 minutes away.
A pleasant stay, great value.

The room was quite nice with a balcony. There is a good size bathroom with shower and toilet. Great to sit on in the evening. There is also a patio on the ground floor to sit outside. Strong free wifi signal. Breakfast room was quite nice and the offered the usual cold cuts, ham, bread, cereal, yogurt, coffee, tea, and juices. There was also a variety of pastries and scrambled eggs and franfurts. No air condition in the room. It is a bit of a walk to old town.

I booked the hotel for three nights through Easyjet holidays. The hotel is situated a little way from the city centre, in more of a residential area of the city. I quite liked that as it meant it was quiet and gave us a different taste of Prague. Although further out, it only takes 10 minutes to get in to the heart of the city via the tram and the tram stop is only a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful and they sell the public transport tickets which was really handy. The room was clean and tidy; en suite bathroom with shower, we had a double bed in our room and also a small balcony (we were on the third floor). It was quite quiet on the whole there although in the morning when people started getting up and going down for breakfast or out for the day, you could hear their room doors banging shut; I wear earplugs so I didn't have any problems with that. The room did get quite warm in the mornings when the sun came up but there is a ceiling fan which you can use and obviously, the windows can be opened too so it wasn't a problem. A breakfast room on the ground floor and I thought that there was a good range of hot and cold foods for breakfast and I thoroughly enjoyed the food. Great value.

Me and my wife got to this Hotel after some misfortunate story with another hotel (Capri House - avoid it).
The receptionists were really nice and friendly, helpfull with anything I asked.
We parked our car in their garrage, under the hotel for 12E / night. Really good and convenient.
The breakfast is AWESOME!
Bus 207 is 50m away and takes you straight to the old town. We actually walked back ... kinda long and we did need a map ... but it`s not impossible :)
Overall, we were pleased and we would stay here again.

We booked with Hotel Seifert, where we ended up staying was no where near. Our journey began with our arrival at checking and the clerk telling us that they had o er booked and they were sorry and that they had moved us to a very good hotel down the road. So what can you do these things happen right? Right... So we went off to our next hotel (Hotel Taurus) where the clerk had ran out even before we finished parking the taxi conversing with the driver furiously. We were then told that this was the wrong hotel the booking system was broken and that they had arranged for us another hotel right in the centret of town and that we must go there and that they were waiting for us. So a little weary now, off we went to the third hotel. Upon our arrival to our "hotel" there was no one there and we had to ring the intercom at least three times before anyone decided to show their face. The place we were takes was GHC a plastic surgery clinic and we were shown their post operation recovery rooms as our hotel room for the night, with proper single hospital beds. Now this is not what I had in mind for a romantic weekend get away in Prague with my wife. So we turned around and went back to Hotel Seifert where we explained to the same clerk that this was completely unacceptable and that we demanded a real hotel and that had to make a plan. After a phone call to another one of their hotels he assured me they had a room for us and so off we went to our fourth hotel. Arriving at Hotel Mucha, it was a very quaint hotel luckily everything was in order. Why we didn't go here straight from the beginning, I will never know. Since they are a chain of about 10 hotels and the clinic was just weird. Like a start to a bad horror movie. Good luck with this hotel stand your ground!
