We ate in this nice Czech restaurant one night during our holiday.

The place is small hut the great food. I recommend anything from the menu. The beer is cheap and the cost for the group of 8 was approximately £60-70 making it very affordable for families and to taste the finest of cooking.

The place is about 200 yards from Staroměstská metro station. Highly recommended.

During our July 2016 visit to Prague, we splurged on an excellent private tour guide. After a great but hot tour of the Jewish Quarter, our guide, a Prague native, suggested Mlejnice as a place where we could have traditional Czech cuisine in a not-overly-touristy setting. Mlejnice fit the bill in every way: great food and service, and great value for the money. We particularly recommend the drunken sausages and the big, entree-sized salads. Truly one of the best and most fun lunches we had in the Czech Republic.

Wonderful meal and great service...had the Rural Potatoes and the beef wrapped in Bacon. Hubby had the Pork...all stunning, contemplating a second visit tonight!

Our guide who took us through Josefov area recommended this restaurant and suggested eating in the garden which we were glad she did. Most of the restaurant is outside or open to the outdoors. We started with cheese platter, 4 different ones and more than the 2 of us were looking for. My wife had beer goulash in a bread bowl and loved it. I had the lamb steak with spring onions, it was a good piece of meat with the bonus of a bone with marrow, a treat for me. Along with Czech beer and wine it was a fine lunch.
