“Delightful hotel”

I stayed here recently with a friend and I really enjoyed it. The hotel is family owned and it shows. There is a lovely sense of history about the place. Everybody was extremely friendly and helpful (Thank you Tom and Marieta) and we had a very relaxing stay, excellent breakfast, great pillows and bedlinen and tea and coffee on tap all day.
The location is excellent , almost everywhere is within walking distance. I will certainly stay there again and recommend it wholeheartedly.

Stayed here on our honeymoon. We had 3 nights here and could not find fault at all. Not only is there fre wi-fi but all you can drink tea and coffee and....... FREE WINE IN THE LOBBY!! The room was spacious and bright and the mini bar was exceptionally cheap. Old Town Square is about 5 minutes walk from the hotel. The staff have been so kind and helpful. Rocking up to check in at 11pm took them a bit by surprise but they could not have been nicer. Definitely recommended!!!

My husband and I spent 5 days in Hastal for our 20th wedding anniversary. We could not have spent it in a better hotel with a better location. Hotel has free wi-fi, free air conditioning and free breakfast. Rooms are spacious, comfortable, warm and welcoming. Breakfast has plenty to choose from, warm choices including eggs, scrambled and boiled, sausages, beans, toast. Lots of cereals, fruit, yogurt, coffee and fruit juices. There is a coffee machine and tea available in reception as is the free wine too. The hotel is very, very clean and well maintained. The hotel is also very close to the Old Town Square. Don't do what my husband and I did on the first day and come out the hotel and turned right and walked to the Old Town Square about 2 miles walk!!!!! If you come out the hotel and turn left , Old Town Square is less than 5 mins away :) one tip for ladies...... do not bring heels, bring only comfortable walking shoes. All of Prague pavements and streets are cobbled so heels are a no go. Over all a fantastic trip and will stay at the Hastal definitely next time we visit Prague.

I loved it here!! Probably one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. We were on the top floor which was lovely & quiet (no good for disabled people, as the lift doesn't go to the top floor) No to far from the square or tram links! Prague is a beautiful place & I will definitely be back to stay at the Hastal!!

This family run hotel ideally situated for a short or long stay in Prague. It is close to transport, an easy walk to the centre of the old town with lots of good eateries also within 10mins easy walking. On the walls there are lots of family photos (5th generation hoteliers), a history of the hotel and the Golem, and advertisements for the hotel over the years.

The Golem was a surprise when we arrived but then I realised that we were in, or next to, the Jewish quarter of Prague.

Breakfast has a selection of hot an old dishes with breakfast available from 7am which is great is you wish to make an early start. Our room was spacious and the tariff reasonable. The front desk staff were extremely helpful when a doctor was needed for my husband ....thank you.

We've been (my wife and I) in the Hastal hotel for one night. This is a lovely hotel. It is a historical building with a touch of magic; it is ideally located in the center of Prague. His manager and staff are very friendly. The accommodation had a very warm atmosphere and we keep a nice remembrance from Prague.

We stayed at the Hotel Hastal with our two sons for four nights. Excellent location close to Old Town Square, about five minute walk and much quieter than staying on the Square itself. The staff were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. They provided good advice about tourist locations, arranged airport transfers for us and looked up train times for us on the internet, printing the timetable for us. The reception is staffed 24 hours a day and even arriving back in the middle of the night after a night on the town we were greeted with a friendly smile. Located close to a number of restaurants, bars and clubs. Complementary tea and coffee in reception was much welcomed. Would recommend the Hastal as a clean, friendly, well located and good value for money hotel. Will recommend to our friends.

Room Tip: We booked a room at the back of the hotel which was very quiet and peaceful.
