“Great location, accommodating staff, and very clean!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 October 2012

My sister and I stayed here for just one night on a quick visit to Prague, but we couldn't have been happier with our choice!!! The location was perfect, 2 seconds off the beaten path [Karlova], where you find all the cheesy tourist souvenir shops, about 3 min. from the beautiful and famous Charles bridge, and maybe 5 min. from the Old Town Square. It was very easy to get to get to and we arrived on foot from the train station.

We arrived before our room was ready but the staff had no problem allowing us to keep our bags behind the front desk. That was super helpful. Even after we checked out the following morning they allowed us to do the same until it was time to head to the train.

Our room was super spacious, it even had a small sitting area in it with a small couch and two chairs. There was a large wardrobe for any clothes you want to unpack. The wifi worked in our room without issues. The bathroom was super clean, which is very important to me and there was always hot water. We had a hand-held shower with a bath tub. They provided small packets of shampoo and hand soap in the sink. The beds were very comfortable, even the pillows! The sheets were pristine!

Breakfast was provided between 8 and 10. It was typical European fare... lunch meats and cheeses, breads, butter, jam, hard boiled eggs, cereal, yogurts, juices, coffee and tea. Perfect to start your day.

The staff at the pension was very kind and helpful, available at all hours. This is definitely a place worth a return visit!

Room Tip: Our room looked out over the open-air patio and we didn't hear a thing all night! Due to the ag...

We've just returned from 3 nights at this hotel. We arrived on the Friday teatime and the very friendly reception staff were expecting us and showed us directly to our room.
We were in a double room (#10) on the 2nd floor which you either take the small lift to or the stairs which we preferred. The room was basic but very clean and tidy, the beds were really comfy and there was a small TV on the dresser. The wardrobe was large enough for the 2 of us and had ample new coathangers in. The bathroom was fully tiled and the walk in shower was hot and powerful.
Breakfast was served in the restaurant area downstairs between 8-10am. On offer is cold meats and cheeses, 3 different types of breads (which you have the option of toastng), fresh and tinned fruits, cakes and cereals. The coffee and fresh juices were very nice. All very tasty and enough to keep you going till lunchtime.
They have an outdoor courtyard open to all throughout the day serving a selection of drinks, snacks and main meals. We only had drinks and ice-cream here but can highly recommend.
The location of the hotel is perfect, it's on a quiet side street just 2 minutes walk from Charles Bridge and 5 minutes from the old town square.
All-in-all we would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a good weekend break in a fantastic city.
Many thanks to all staff - we'll be back next year.

We walked from the train station to this hotel in about 25 minutes because the taxis in Prague a plagued by a bad reputation. Had it not been for our GPS we would have never found it. It is 5 minutes from one of the main attractions - the Charles Bridge. The pension is in an older (400 years old) mansion that could be updated but at the expense of it's charm. Wi-fi is in the rooms and a computer station is located in the hall of the 3rd floor. There's a lift for luggage and the occasional lazy traveller. The rooms are large by European standards and perfectly suitable for enjoying what Prague has to offer.

Room Tip: Ask for a room farthest away from the lift.

Just a hop step and a jump from Charles Bridge in one direction and Old Town Square in the other, this friendly pension can't be beaten for location and excellent value.
Travelling alone it provided a cosy, family atmosphere with very friendly and helpful staff. Included breakfast was good and other meals were basic but well priced, as was the house wine! The night duty staff member made toast and coffee and provided a packed meal as well for my 0400 departure.
My single room was small, but had everything needed and was clean and comfortable. There seemed to be some renovations in nearby rooms. (September 2011).
Always good to have free internet too.
I found it and booked it on the internet and everything was handled efficiently.

Room Tip: Maybe one at the back. I heard no street noise but possibly rooms at the front may be noisy.

We enjoyed eating lunch here. We ordered two delicious pizzas: Hawaiian pizza and the pizza with ham, mushroom, mozzarella and tomato. Both pizzas were 165 CZK each. Each pizza would be enough for two people. There was a no smoking area that we appreciated as well. The waiter was really friendly and it was a cute place. I would eat there again if in the vicinity. This restaurant was near Bethlehem Square.

I happened to have stumbled upon this pension while trying last minute to find a place to stay. It was the cheapest I could find near any of the tourist areas. It turned out to be perfect! The rooms are nice and the staff is very accommodating!!! The free breakfast isn't a large selection but more than adequate to get started. We also ate at the hotel three times over a four night stay because the food was good and a great deal cheaper than anywhere close by. Thanks U Lilie for making it a great first time to Prague. (they do not have a good beer selection though) :(
