“A modest hostel spotlessly clean and helpful staff”
Reviewed 29 May 2014

I stayed in a 4 bedded female dorm which was very noisey inside and out. Exacerbated by the location of the common kitchen/dining room and shared bathroom just outside. However, everything was spotlessly clean.

Most importantly, the staff were incredible. When an emergency supply of my meds failed to arrive the manager co-ordinated with a local pharmacy and my British GP to fax my prescription. Within an hour I collected it. Cannot think of many establishment who could or would have done that.

Room Tip: I would stay in future but go for a private room on the upper floor.

OK but not great.
I think the Hostel is good if all you want is a place to put you're head at night.

Biggest plus is the location! Was fantastic. A few down sides though.

Although the guy working there/owner was not rude. He was not very open/friendly either.

The 6 bed room was clean and nice. With your own kitchen and table. Much more than I expected.

If travelling alone and wanting to meet people I would recommend getting a different hostel.

Common room is OK. Free tea is a plus.

One bathroom between 2 rooms was also a bit of a pain.

Lights on top two floors were broken throughout my whole trip. You could use the lift/elevator. However if something goes wrong and you get stuck you have no one at reception so have to call a phone number of the owner. Not a great situation if you don't have credit/ a phone.

Shower kept going hot and cold too which is a bit of a pain.

Overall good if only there for a night or two and you just need somewhere to rest you're head

I have been in this hostel for 3 nights with friends and I couldn't ask for better. Very clean, clean towels every day, wifi, hot water, soap, private bathroom and even a small kitchen! You have everything you might need pretty close to the hostel, I recommend the place. The owner (speaks perfect English) and the 'staff' were very polite and helpful on giving us information about the nearby places. For the amount we paid it was perfect indeed.

I went there with my friends and we had an apartment at the 4th floor. The room was much better than we expected. The prices are very student-friendly and the location is extraordinary. Only the wifi seemed not to be working sometimes.

In a bit of a last minute booking i went here, and it was kinda what i expected it to be.
Descent place. Shared rooms are very small (beds are very close), common room is nice.
The bathrooms and showers are kinda crowded, could be a few more of them.
They work with a daily changing code/key to enter, if you're off all day it's a bit annoying having to ask for the new key over and over, staff seemed a bit annoyed by it too.
The location is nice, and i slept okay, but that was all.

It could be quite ordinary place, but... I had a room at the 4th floor in a very old building, with balcony where I could observe all the nice roofs of old Praha! Amazing (especially in summer :)
It's 5 minutes walk to the Central railway station, and 7 minutes - to the Central Christmas Tree :) And the stuff is very hospitable, I enjoyed this stay!

Hostel Rosemary is very close to the main train station and also the metro, making its location easily accessible to all attractions. We booked a private double room and we were given a free upgrade to a suite with is very spacious and it comes with a kitchen as well. Wi-Fi and elevator is available in this hostel and the staff were friendly as well. The only down side which I could think of is the dusty floor which is a little bit unbearable.

Overall, this hostel is highly recommended.
