“Good choice to discover Prague!”
Reviewed 7 August 2014

We have stayed in this hotel during our short holidays in Prague for 4 days and I have to say, this hotel was excellent - nice modern-furnished rooms with king size bed, iron, clean bathroom, then very good location only few meters from shopping center and Metro station (you can cross all the most beautiful Prague places by metro for 4€ ticket/person/day), friendly staff - all the things you need for nice towns holidays... Good choice :-)

Room Tip: I like rooms on the high level floors - they are usually quieter...

We were on a rail tour of “Grand Imperial Cities” with Great Rail Journeys and had 3 nights here. Hotel is away from the centre in characterless area but reasonably well located near the tram stop & underground. Shopping centre with supermarket across the road for snacks etc. Hotel is typical of its type but had by far the best room of our trip – including 2 double beds, easy chair, desk & bath & shower. Food was good & staff friendly & helpful. Would stay again. Prague was very hot & the sites teeming with tourists.

This time was mainly leasure that took me to prague, together with my Family. Decided to use this Courtyard by Marriott. Expected a 4* service and rooms and got it, and above.
Rooms: in my case was a family room. Must say it was large, clean, very well equipped. Had all needed towels (yes...very often find hotels that assume that your kids don't use towels...)
Breakfast: above standards for a 4*. Everything was fresh, you can ask waiter or kitchen to cook an omelette or fried eggs for you on the spot. Dinning room not very big, but I'd say sufficient. Orange juice...No good, but is the only "but" of the breakfast. Had a long chat only about orange juice with the general manager, a guy very responsive: I wrote him a mail about it and the next day we were having a a drink together and talking about it. He will have a look at it, and try to fix the "orange juice" problem and bring it to the standards of the rest of the breakfast, that is very high.
Staff: Friendly and helpful. This is specially important to mention given the general "cold" character of the locals...Even the cleaning lady always had a smile to my daughters.
Location: in front of a medium size mall, with trams and subway less than 150 meters away. 3 stops by underground of Mustek (stop of this hotel, is conveniently named flora :-) )

Altough as in general, late checkouts are charged, I got a complimentary late checkout, witch was very helpful as I was travelling with two young daughters, and I really appreciate: This kind of small things, and attention to detail makes the difference between a 4 stars and a 4 STARS.
So, bottom line: If I have to go again to Prague (witch I hope I have to) I'll repeat to this hotel.

We booked Courtyard for a 4 nigth stay at Prague. It is around 45 min away from the airport, accessible by a Bus-Metro combination. Situated away from the City centre of Prague, but well connected by Tram and Metro. The "Flora" station which is closest to the hotel has direct connectivity to the city landmarks. There is a shopping centre right across the hotel. We didnt find any other restaurants nearby, except for the food court in the shopping mall. However, location was the only highlight of the hotel.

The room was small and service average. The buffet breakfast (included in our package) was good, though it was the same spread on all days. The restaurant was packed with guests on all days. The reception staff was very warm, but a waiter in the restaurant wasnt. Sleep quality was just average considering the comfort of the mattress and pillows.

We had better expectations from a hotel in the Marriott Chain. Overall, just an average experience.

Thank you for your feedback related to your recent stay at our property. I am sorry to hear that our hotel did not fully meet your expecations. Thank you for your nice comment about our reception staff which I will be happy to share with my team. In regards to the restaurant, it is true that at this high season the restaurant easily gets bussy but it is always our aim to accommodate all our customers' requests. Thank you once again for sharing your experience and we trust the Marriott properties will fully meet your expectations in the future.

As frequent Marriott hotel customers, we expected this hotel to have its high standards ... and it did. Comfortable, clean room with all the amenities; good restaurant and friendly staff. Its convenience to a major shopping mall and the metro were a plus ... only minutes on the metro to the Old Town. We were extremely grateful for Lucie at the Front Desk. Her advice and help made it so easy for us to get around the city. A shout out also goes to Aditya Kumar, Senior Supervisor in the restaurant, for his excellent service. Prague is a wonderful city to visit and it makes it even nicer when you encounter locals who enjoy their work.

We stayed here for two nights in July as part of a European business vacation. The hotel is modern and comfortable, with large rooms that are clean and crisp. The beds, internet, shower, and TV are all good - meeting Marriott standards.

The hotel is across the street from a large shopping mall and accessible to the old city and Prague Castle via the metro (a metro stop is across the street). If you arrive by plane or train call the hotel to send a car. We were "scammed" by a taxi at the train station and paid more than twice what we should have paid with a marked taxi or Courtyard car.

THis is a very nice hotel, with a good breakfast (extra cost) and excellent staff. It is not, though, within walking distance of Prague's centrum.

Room Tip: No advice - I presume that all rooms are of good size and quality.

We've been at this hotel from 12 to 15 July, 2013. Excellent value for money, features spacious room with good sized bathroom fitted with bath and shower. In the room there is a fridge and facilities for making tea. King size bed very comfortable; the hotel provided extra pillows as requested on booking. Very courteous and helpful staff, always ready to give us any information requested. An affordable price, with breakfast surcharge. It is located opposite a shopping mall, where you can shop and receive, at the airport, the tax refund in Euros. We made our breakfast at a bakery on the first floor of the mall (the Palmier is delicious), at a lower cost than the hotel. At the end of the block of the mall there is a subway station that left us in the historic center (Stare Mesto, Mustek station) or near the Prague Castle (Malá Strana, Malostranská station). A great choice for a future return to Prague.
