“Pretty Good!”
Reviewed 18 May 2007

Paid around £29 per night to have this studio falt to myself. It was clean, bedding was old but comfortable. Strange smell in the bathroom of Pizza dough, but that was beacuse of the Pizza restaurent directly underneath. Very secure and the accomadation office were helpful. Not too far from the city centre (20 min walk) and underground station literally outside. Only thing I will say is they like cash payment even though they have a credit card machine. I emailed them before hand asking if credit card would be a problem. When I got there they insisted I go to the cash point and get cash. I refused saying credit card or nothing and had a print out of their email to me saying credit card would be ok. With a huff and puff they took the payment. Be warned!

Not too far from the center. DIrty and shabby. Beds were made on an old sofa.... spots and dust everywhere.
COld rooms - the landlady turned on the heating only when we arrived, - in December!! - we freezed our first night. The following days weren't much better .
It was far too expensive for what it offered. 100 EU a night, unfortunately it was during New Year's Eve and we couldn't find anything else as it was all booked. A real pity, because Prague is really wonderful .

I stayed with 3 friends in Biskupský dvůr 3, third floor. We had two rooms, one had three beds and the other one was a kitchen with two beds. Clean and spacious rooms with bathroom and toilet. We were able to check in early and we were very pleased with that. Normally the check in time is four o'clock. We were little surprised about the early check out time, we had to be out before 10 am.

There is a shopping street near by and some really nice restaurants. Florenc metro station is also near and at the station is a supermarket which was quite handy. The kitchen had frigde and stove. Our bedroom windows were facing a small street in front of the apartments and some noise came through, but over all the neighbourhood was very quiet.

We really liked this accomodation. It was especially good for a bigger croud, it was nice to have everyone staying in the same space.

Prague, is truly breathtaking. I cannot say enough about the city, and the architecture, and the scenery, and the food. My friend and I stayed at David's Guest House for 3 nights in March of 2006 - I can't imagine it being any better on a budget!

David's Guest House is an apartment style pension/hostel ...we were on the 5th floor in a great little apartment. We had a nice view from our balcony, and our own kitchenette. Our room had two twin beds which were very comfortable, a tv, and phone. The bathroom was a little small, but had everything we needed (HUGE, very deep tub!) The building has a small elevator that fits one - maybe two people...the doors were padded for sound-proofing, and the apartments are above a wonderful pizzaria. The smells were so amazing that we HAD to try the pizza one night. I found the cheese quite salty, but it was wonderful nonetheless. We were in walking distance to a market, so our fridge came in handy for the fruit and juice we bought. It was also within walking distance to the subway, and the streets seemed quite safe at pretty much all hours.
The price was quite affordable for two single girls travelling around Europe. I would absolutely recommend David's Guest House to anyone looking for more than just a hotel.
