“Nice hotel in Prague 4”
Reviewed 24 April 2014

Spent at this hotel with wife for two days in April 2012 .
Of course, we here only staying overnight and eat breakfast,
as the full days was to take tours of Prague and its suburbs.
Breakfast is plentiful, with hot and cold dishes, cold meats,
cheese and a large selection of bread ...
Room (No.5078) is clean and comfortable incl. TV,with good bathroom .
Nice bed on which sleep well, just like home.
This hotel is located away from the city center,
but we were with tourist group on the bus,
then no inconvenience in this regard.

the worst hotel I had ever stayed and the rudest staff...
no air condition in a 4 star hotel, very poor breakfast, wifi is not working in rooms...
the staff has very poor English and are not willing to help you of any issue. Difficult to reach the city center,
In the bathroom, there is no handle for the shower, you have to keep the shower on hand,
they put a very very little soap in the bathroom that you can only use just once...
no minibar, no air condition, only 3 channels on the television...
You cannot buy tea/coffee after 9pm,
Lobby consists of 3 chairs for 4 people and the hotel staff can ask you not to sit there because French people will sit there!

On our journey home from Vienna we stayed here for one night. While most of our group went back into the city we decided to have dinner at the hotel. When we phoned the desk to book they said we had to be out of the dinning room by 7pm. because they had a party booking.! Eventually they agreed to cater for us. The meal was very nice, all be it it wasn't what I ordered. Breakfast was plentiful with hot and cold meats, cereals, cheeses and many breads, pastries and cakes! The rooms were clean with good bed linen.

Room Tip: If your wanting to see the city it took a bus and then the underground to get into it. A half hour e...

This was a fly/coach tour to Prague&Vienna staying at the Emmy Hotel in Prague.
The Emmy is VERY far out and you must take into consideration if you were on your own the trip by public bus would take 30mins.
Rooms are very clean and kept tidy but the best are on floor 7 we know as on our return we had one.
Downside arrive either back from a day out or as a new arrival after 10p.m. and there is no bar or place for a cup of tea not even a bottle of water can be purchased.
Rooms are not available till after 3p.m if you arrive any earlier this causes a REAL problem.
Purchase on arrival your tea/coffee tray 3-94K and at least you can have a wee cup of something in your room.
LIFTS there are2 both very busy with large Qs all 7 floors use them.

Room Tip: ask for rooms above 4th floor however the 7th floor is the best

Nice hotel with a few problems. As stated ,to reach the centre of Prague necessitates a bus and underground journey. Easy enough in Paris or other European capitals but Czech language is a mystery to me as is the difficult to read currency so even with a guide the journey was crowded and stressful. Rooms were large with separate rooms for toilet and bath but no air conditioning. Tiny lifts makes it difficult for coach parties. Two adults with luggage max and a tour group approaching 50. I carried my case up and down four flights. Very hot and humid even in May with thunderstorms.Open the windows and you are swamped by daddy long legs. Eight at one count. Dinner was fine but being offered 17 slices of bread with one soup was a little idiosyncratic. Staff were helpful. There is a nice Czech restaurant 200 yards away and a chinese closer but very little else. Breakfast ok eastern european. Free wifi throughout which is good as only BBC world on tv. Definitely not for sightseers unless you like a challenge.

Stayed here for 6 Nights as a couple.

Yes the hotel is nowhere near the centre (20 minutes on bus then metro)- But if you research the location of a hotel before you book then you won't have that problem! So yeah if you're a tourist then the location probably isn't great. But there's no way you could get a 4 star hotel in the city centre for this price.

Price wise- I ended up paying £26 a night for bed a breakfast- Best price i found was on www.Cheapoair.co.uk (It's also worth searching for some voucher codes for extra money off on this website!!)

The room was very spacious and met my expectations, Bathroom with bath, shower and sink (also a hairdryer) then seperate toliet room. Big double wardrobe with a safe. Mini bar, TV, free wifi.
Comfortable beds and rooms cleaned daily!
There are a few reviews on here that have commented on staff having a poor level of English. I disagree with this, they have enough concept of the language to communicate efficiently. And their English is a much better than my Czech!!
I also don't understnad people that go abroad and complain when the staff cannot speak English and then call the staff lazy! I think we are the lazy ones, we expect everyone to make the effort.

Only went to breakfast on one occasion and was satisfactory. All the normal hot drinks, fruit juices and cereals as well as self service hot food.
The restaurant in the evening had a pretty limited menu but was adequate and the food was well presented and a fair price.

Room Tip: I had a room at the back of the hotel. From there you have views of the carpark and on from there th...

I chose this hotel because it was close to where I had to attend a meeting. Apart from this (and the availability of parking facility for travellers with their car), it is hard to find an advantage against choosing other hotels in the same price range in the very center of the city. It takes a good 20-30 min (depending on where you go) by bus and metro. Breakfast was also disappointing, with many overcooked dishes that were seemingly left unutilized from day to day. Coffee, milk (!) and cocoa were of low quality. My bed was also soft in its center and I could not keep my back straight during sleep. Staff at reception was helpful by any other means.
