The photos and description gave us a high expectation of a 4 star suite in a converted mansion. The rooms were spacious, and its about 10 mins walk to Republic Sq and 15 to Old Town SQ so quite a good location. But that is the end of the good news. The service is poor eg. their credit card machine was broken so we had to pay by cash which was an issue as we hadn't planned to do that, and it was clear they had had this problem for several weeks so should have fixed it or warned us.The breakfast is very disappointing and you will probably want to eat out. They lay out a pre-prepared plate with an assortment of items like at a kids party eg. piece of ham, cheese, few (stale) biscuits and cake slices, orange squash, in an unpleasant breakfast room. Coffee was horrible. You can make toast and tea which is probably the only edible option. They also wont serve to your room as stated on some websites. You cant really eat in the room despite the full set of kitchen appliances, as there is only a worn out frying pan, no glasses, and inadequate cutlery and plates, and no kettle. The room furniture was tired (eg. wobbly chairs, TV handset broken, cigarette burn marks on table). Beds are hard with only one thin pillow per bed. Bathroom was dirty. So in summary, I realise now that this place was probably very nice when first opened a few years ago, but is now really only suitable for stag/hen parties. If you go mid-week like us you will avoid them, but if you are a family (or a couple) then I recommend you choose a traditional hotel room and pay a bit extra.

Four stars? How generous! The hotel is well located but service is awful; no telephone, no wi-fi, no towels for bath!! Breakfast is strange: a mix of things you don’t usually eat at morning. If you are going to Prague, search another hotel!

Good location and it was nice to have enough space, we stayed in the 1 bedroom app.
Beds are made of stone and the appartment wasnt cleaned in the 5 days we stayed there. Towels are old and only changed twice a week if you are lucky. during our stay only one of the badtowels was changed, the appartment wasnt very clean. The kitchenette was a microwave and a hot water kettle, no plates, no knife or anything like that.
Breakfast was so bad we tried it once and were happy we didnt get sick!!. Before 08.00 they put plates on the table with a slice of very cheap ham and a slice of cheese, not covered at all and it stood there for hours. no fresh bread.
All the 1 bedroomapp. are at the back of the hotel with the worst view ye can imangine.

Room Tip: :) take another hotel

Nice hotel in the middle of Prague, nice and charming apartment with comfy beds. The breakfast is great. The service personnel was friendly, mostly English speaking and helpful. Some were a bit pushy though. They received credit card details with the booking, yet they wanted us to pay before the stay was over. Big downer: The credit card machine would not work and they could not get it fixed within two days. Other bad things to mention are the chips on the glass jugs in the breakfast room and the holes in the towels. The biggest disappointment though was the incorrect information about the parking - Information on Expedia and other websites stated parking would be 20 EUR per day. We were led to a parking in a big shopping centre by the hotel staff where we had to pay 30 EUR per 24 hrs. We went back to the hotel where we got told it is not their parking and therefore they could not help us with that issue.
Because of that, next time I'll stay in Prague, I will give another hotel a try instead of returning to the Verona.

Would definitely say this was the best hotel in terms of value for money, location, staff friendliness and room size in all of our destinations in Europe.

Rooms were massive with a spare room!

Staff were friendly all the time!!! and nothing was ever a hassle and always smiles on their faces. This is one of the major things for me when travelling. One of those simple things to do that makes a big difference to travelers.

Location was only a 5 minute tram ride from the train station and close to the city also.

Definitely recommend to anyone else in the same range as us. Loved it.

Loved the location, central, but very quite, very easy walking distance to Prague Olt Town. There is a reasonable mini market nearby, couple of restaurants if you couldn't be bothered to walk, big shopping centre Palladium and metro station.
Hotel has a nice reception/breakfast area, but the rooms (or at least our standard suite) need a bit of an update, fixing.
The owner of this place must have changed or perhaps the staff has, but judging by the previous reviews the rooms were supposed to be very clean. They were not. There was no cleaning during our whole stay either. Soap and shower gel were missing as well, we didn't complaint as we had our own stuff. Beds are really hard indeed and pillows and duvets are just a joke. On the positive side the rooms are very spacious and it was fantastic to have 2 rooms instead of one. Shower was fine, with good water pressure and no issues with hot water.
TV was a bit tricky to use and most of the chanels didn't work, neither did the Wi-Fi, neither in the rooms, nor in the lobby. My guess is they haven't paid for it on time.
Breakfast was very sad, but I guess that's what you get for the price.
I would stay in this hotel again if offered the same fantastic rate.
