When we booked the hotel we were already amazed by the photos and we booked the royal room and I extra asked for the same room which is on the photo and we got it. It was really breathtaking. I loved the design and the charm of a 14th century house. Yes, there is no elevator and you have to go 3 levels up, but again it is an old historical building and it is really worse the few extra stairs. The receptionists were very nice and helpful, the location is fantastic. The booking price included breakfast which was 5-6 different type of breakfast to choose and all were really good. We tried the restaurant for dinner as well and the food was perfect. I would go back any time.

Did not stay at this hotel, but ate there twice in three days. Food excellent hot, tasty, reasonably priced, and managed my diabetes requirements well (had already produced a Czech version of my dietary needs which were passed to the chef). The waiter was very efficient, pleasant, patient and helpful. The House red wine was very good and fairly priced.
In Prague we'd found the food very variable, but the fact we ate here twice says something about this particular restaurant.
And they did not add a service charge - unlike some who added 20% without comment - but worth paying extra for the type of food and service received.

Room Tip: If you have dietary requirements, organise and print a translation before travelling, as this partic...

Many great places have songs written about them; Prague deserves several. Trip Advisor ratings tell another story to guide travellers to great places; The Black Eagle (U Cerneho Orla) deserves a rating scale above Excellent. Combine this place and this town and it makes a for an exceptional experience. Start the day with an exceptional breakfast that keeps you fed all day. Launch yourself at outstanding sights that will keep you enthralled all day. Or simply stroll a few meters to Charles Bridge or wander atmospheric streets. And plan on a variety of music venues both oriented for tourists or serious music buffs. Plenty to do include sightsee the floods. Come home footsore to another outstanding meal at the hotel (yes, there are other places worth eating at, but not as close to a warm bed). Nicole was our choice of exceptionally helpful and friendly staff. A week was long enough for an introduction to Prague; another week another time will be a rich reward for another time.

We were in this lovely hotel at beginning of June when the floods hit Prague. The weather was not great, but we enjoyed it how much we could.
The hotel has very good location - 10 minutes with suitcase from Malostranska Metro Station, couple seconds to Karluv Most, 10 minutes to Prazsky Hrad.

I booked Royal room and we loved it. On the 3rd floor with the Mostecka Street view. Some people say it is noisy, but i can't agree with them. I didn't hear anything, I even slept through a thunder storm which hit Prague on Saturday night.
There is no lift, but a very nice man on reception helped us with our suitcases to the room, many thanks for that.
The bed - so good, kettle with tea and coffee in room, TV, great bathroom with little shampoo and shower gel, even bath salt.

Breakfast - great, could choose from 4 different breakfasts, i had French and healthy.

Restaurant - we had one dinner there, nice choice of Czech kitchen, plus guests receive 15% off from the bill.

I have to say big thanks to the young lady from the reception {Monday morning 3rd June} for helping us to get a taxi from the hotel to the main train station. That time Prague was flooded, Metro not working and heavy rain outside. She tried really hard to help us, it was greatly appreciated.

Size of the hotel - perfect
Location - very good, walking distance to everywhere
Food - great
Personal - great and very helpful

Next time we are in Prague we will definitely book this place again.

My girlfriend and I went to Prague for 4 nights and stayed at this lovely hotel. The room was decorated very nice, the bed comfortable and the staff was very helpfull. We enjoyed the perfect location (just a minute away from the Charles Bridge) and found the staff very helpfull. The ala carte breakfast was very nice and provided both sweet and hearty things.

The hotel is fantastic - the room decor is really lovely, the staff are so helpful and the location is brilliant - a hop, skip and a jump from Charles Bridge. The tram runs from just up the road so it is really easy to get around town, wherever you would like to go. The breakfast is among the best I have ever had travelling, really outstanding.

The hotel is two steps away from the Charles river. Location cannot be better. Very nice room combining antique (bedroom) and modern (bathroom). Staff is very kind and helpful. Good Service. Don´t waste your time looking for other hotel. Highly recommended.
