Having traveled extensively and having stayed at many hotels worldwide, it is without a doubt that this hotel is the most charming I have stayed at. I truly think it ought to be upgraded to a 5 stars classification rather than the current 4 stars + .

There you go:

-The location: perfect; it doesn't get more central in Prague. 1 street away from Old town square and 20 meters from Karlova.
-The Charm: Romantic and simple; a small boutique hotel with well appointed common areas and furniture in a 1319 building!
-The bed is super comfy!
-The bathroom is very spacious, it has both a tub and a shower and you can add to that a wall mounted TV facing the tub!!
-The room come with a sound installation which can be hooked to an ipod, in order to add some jazzy romantic music ;)
-The service is immaculate, from the smiley faces at the reception to the great care at breakfast.
-The breakfast is very rich, and the seating area is very comfy and cozy.

The only minor issue was that the Wi-fi is not available in our room. We were assured that this is being worked on and would be up and running in a very short time. BUT who stays in a hotel like that to be preoccupied by internet and wi-fi! Go out see the city or stay in and snuggle or take a bath! Wi-fi can wait!

Do not try any other hotel in Prague, it doesn't get more charming than this!
Cheers
(I will upload pictures soon!)

Room Tip: Room 204!!!! Just Fantastic! It is more like a suite, with it's own sitting area, a dining tab...

Stayed here for a weekend in November with friends in two rooms and a suite. Had high hopes but a number of small issues summed up to make the stay very so-so. Here goes:
On check in the receptionist could not find our reservations by name. I booked in August through a link from TripAdvisor. I had to find an email in my laptop to locate a reservation number for them to be able to find it. I ended up in room 101. The room has a small window at an average adults knee level. It overlooks a side street where there were major roadworks going on as in jackhammers that kicked in at 7 a.m. on Saturday AND Sunday morning. The room was incredibly hot even though it was mid November and there were no obvious signs of where the heat was coming from. The only way to survive the night was to have the window open... and at 7 a.m. the pneumatic road drills kicked in... Because of the small, low window the room was permanently dark and the lights had to be on all day. The Wi-Fi in the rooms didn't work during the 3 days of our stay. If you have an IPad or Macbook Air there was no waty of getting internet in the room. Reception was only working in the reception area. The breakfast area is tiny as is the variety and lay out of food. For some reason butter is served in a miniscule portion on a granite hockey puck like thing. Like WTF???? The Indian cooks don't speak or understand English. I asked for scrambled eggs with bacon, had to repeat it and was brought a ham omelette. As a final straw upon checking out we asked the receptionist to split the cost of the rooms and the suite three ways between the three of us. In the bill the suite was about 50 EUR more expensive per night than in the booking. Of course this was all in the fine print and the conversion of Czech crowns into Euros so was not that easy to spot. Maybe a mistake made in good faith, maybe not... We asked the reception to call a cab and we got an unmarked, unmetered Skoda that turned out to be 100 CZK more expensive than the yellow AAA airport taxis and was not even able to pull up right outside the airport terminal. Overall we had a ball of a time in Prague and the little shortcomings of the hotel weren't able to spoil it. The location is great, the road works aren't the hotel's fault and the suite (204) is a fabulous, spacious room with an amazing antique ceiling but this place is not 100% perfect and for the money you can do a lot better in Prague. If you do decide to stay here make sure that you're happy with the room you're assigned and AVOID 101.

Room Tip: Avoid 101 and probably 102 too. 204 is a beautiful suite

Dear Guest,
First, we would like to thank you for your comment which pointed a few spots we can improve on our services. Please let us explain the described issues from our side. I would like to apologize that we indeed did not had your reservation in our system. It was caused by a technical error which we discovered at the time of your arrival and fixed it to avoid it happening again.
I would like to apologize also for the road work under the hotel. Unfortunately, in spite of us requesting them not to start so early nothing could be done as according to the local Law Municipal work can start from 6 am. Fortunately those repairs should end soon.
In regards to the Internet connection I would like to make things right and clear. Our hotel does not have a WI-FI available in the rooms. WI-FI is possible to use in public areas only as the building is a former monastery from 1319 and has thick walls. We have tried to look for solutions which unfortunately were not successful. However, if you have a look on the hotel description it is stated that WI-FI connection is only available in the public areas.
We do realize that the breakfast area is a bit congested but us being a small, 27 rooms Hotel it should be understandable. If there was a mistake in your order, I hope you informed our waiters and they did rectify the situation.
I would like to also apologize for the inconvenience during the check out procedure. Since the reservation was not in the Fidelio system at the time of check in, hence the mistake occurred. The conversion is calculated per each night on the daily basis of the CNB so there is no intention to cheat. It is done according to the Czech law.
Our hotel taxi service has a fixed price, stated to the guests in advance when they order the taxi. Based on your comment, we have arranged stickers to mark transfer service cars with logo of Hotel Savic to make them easier to identify.
At the end I would like to say how sorry I feel that there were so many things you did not like. I hope that action we have taken based on your comment will satisfy you if you visit us again.
With Best Regards
Sanjeev Wadehra

I have just returned from a 4 x female birthday trip to Prague. The hotel staff made us feel extremely welcome and the hotel is beautiful. Located very centrally (around the corner from the famous Old Town Square) it was in easy distance to walk everywhere. The staff recommended some fantastic restaurants - who knew that Czech food was so sophisticated and delicious?! I would thoroughly recommend this hotel as the most wonderful holiday destination for a relaxing, grownup holiday.

we've just returned from a fantastic weekend break in prague, we chose the savic hotel because of the central location and the fantastic reviews that have been posted. the hotel arranged airport transfers, we knew then what to expect to pay and had no fear of being ripped off by dodgy taxi drivers taking us the 'scenic route'. we were met as soon as we arrived and taken to the hotel which is about a 30 minute drive away. the hotel receptionist was lovely and couldn't have been more helpful and appologised for the room not being ready, but we didn't expect it to be as we'd had an early flight. there was a secure room where bags could be left. we had a complimentary drink on arrival as she explained where all main sites and attractions were, which we found very helpful. we stayed in room 206 which was a superior room, very spacious, full of character with alfresco ceiling, so unusual but fantastic to have such a quirky room. the whole hotel was immaculately clean, all staff were very helpful, and the breakfast was probabally one of the best we've had abroad, huge choice of cheese, meat, fruit, cereals and bacon and eggs etc, so much choice with chefs on hand to cook omlettes etc to order. the location couldn't have been any better, about a 2 minute walk from the old town square and astronomical clock, and central to all other sites and attractions. i wouldn't hesitate to return to the savic hotel if i ever returned to prague, and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting there!!

Stopped by the Savic this week looking to get a bit of inside info on the hotel before a friend comes to Prague. 204 is the hotels best room (the executive suite) with separate bedroom and the living room is big enough to have a nice dining table as well. Original frescos on the ceiling and very stylish. I also noted that 205 and 208 (superior) also had a pretty similar view over Jilska/Karlova but of course be less expensive. Finally I had a little tour of the covered breakfast area (a big internal conservatory) and the Dominikana restaurant.

Room Tip: Attic rooms are very nice but cannot be accessed by the lift. Flight of stairs from the 3rd to the 4...

My friend found this hotel and she and I were not disappointed. Located just off the main square, The Savac Hotel is conveniently located for its patrons to explore the old city of Prague. Our accommodations were lovely, clean and bright. The included breakfast was delicious and more than ample and the staff was most helpful. If I am fortunate enough to return to Pargue, I will definitely choose The Savac Hotel!

Room Tip: The fourth floor is very quiet, but elevator access is only available to the 3rd floor.
