“Not to be missed!”
Reviewed 21 January 2012

This is a fabulous hotel just yards from Old Town Square. You are welcomed by the reception staff with a welcome drink and given very useful information about Prague and the hotel. The lobbies in the hotel are very elegant with plush furniture and beautiful chandeliers. The rooms are beautifully appointed with extremely comfortable beds, more elegant furniture and luxurious bathrooms. Everything about this hotel exudes quality. The breakfast choice is vast and delicious. Any types of eggs cooked freshly to order and plenty to accompany them. There is even sparkling wine available! The staff are discreet and polite but very attentive. This was our third stay at this hotel and will definitely be back next year - cant wait!!

Room Tip: Having stayed here 3 tiimes all rooms are fabulous.

I was this week for 2 days in Prague on a Business trip and stayed in Savic.

Good
The hotel is located right in the heart of the old town with all the main sights of Prague easily accessible. The lady at the reception was very welcoming and friendly and also recommended nearby attractions which can be covered on foot.
Room was quite big with twin beds
There was Nespresso coffee machine :) in the room.
Cook/Chef was very friendly and asked for specific request even for Breakfast.

Bad
The man at the reception in the night. Promised to deliver in person at 9:30 but called later after 1 hour that I could buy it in the store outside.
No slippers and bathing gowns in the bathroom, uncommon for a 4* hotel. Towels were very hard and also the safety mat in the bathtub was missing.

The worst Breakfast spread with cold meat assortments, which I had never eaten in a 4* until now. Staff at breakfast were like zombies and seemed as if they are just killing their shift times. Coffee was cold and too strong. When I asked for a new brew, I was waiting for over 30 mins, then I left. :(
In a double/twin room, there were only 3 capsules for the coffee machine and no option for Tea.

Will not recommend as there are better options within the same location.

We were enchanted by the hospitality, the facilities, the decor and dedication of the staff, their recomendation for the local food degustation, arranging day trips, Prague is a magic city and the Savic Hotel is a must , the old monastery is so impresive, each room is different, they advertise as a boutique Hotel, it is the best!!

Room Tip: second floor gave you the look over the window to what was going on the street.

Savic Hotel is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed in! Service was impeccable! Upon our arrival the lovely receptionist sat down with us and went through possible activities etc we could do during our stay and we also got complimentary welcome drinks. Anything we wanted to do could be arranged for us by the hotel. We also got an upgrade to the junior suite for a bargain price. The room was huge and the bed was extremely comfortable. Nespresso machine in our room was an added novelty which I liked. Bathroom was very clean, only minor complain is that the glass screen to prevent water getting everywhere when you take your shower in the tub was a little short so I had to be really careful otherwise everything would get wet.
Great location, just 2mins from astronomical clock tower. Also the restaurant downstairs serves some of the best Czech food I have ever had! Definitely coming back to stay at the Savic when I return to Prague!

The staff was very helpful with arranging everything from transportation to and from the airport, to recommending tours, and restaurants, and providing directions. The hot breakfast was above and beyond a normal breakfast that is included with the price of a hotel. The eggs to order was a treat. You could even have champagne with your orange juice, and some of the best coffee I've had in Europe. The location was perfect, as it was right in the middle of Old Town, and our room was fabulous. We splurged for a bigger room, and when we opened the door, we both said, "Oh my gosh!" I would return to the Savic with no questions asked.

Room Tip: Our room faced the main road, and it was fine, as we had double-paned windows. We heard the occasio...

Beautiful rooms (super clean, which I am anal about), wonderful continental breakfast, and exceptionally helpful front desk staff. I wouldn't necessarily reccomend eating at the restaurant attached as it is slow service and the wait staff lack communication skills (and I'm not talking about language barrier).

Let me start by saying that this hotel is in a superb location and that the rooms are very large with lots of character and a really nice feel to them and we received a lovely and professional welcome upon check in. However it was downhill from there and lots of small issues over our 4 night stay left us feeling rather let down.
The first was as we arrived at our room (Superior 206) it looked as if we were about to enter a broom closet. Housekeeping kept their trolley permanently parked just to the right of the door and for the first three nights we had two fold up single beds stacked on the left of the door.
Then, as this was the end of a three week holiday we needed some laundry done and were pleased to note that they offered a same day service - only to discover that evening that this does not apply on weekends even though no mention of this was made in their services folder.
The food at breakfast was on par with most we had been to, however the breakfast room is very cramped and the cold meat and cheeses are in the middle of the tables which are already too cramped and no plates were supplied to dish this onto. In fact the one morning there were no plates available at all - unless you ordered something from the chef. The staff at breakfast were also all very sultry and behaved as if they were doing us a favour by being there.
On our last morning my children received a knock on their door at 9.45 to say they needed to vacate the room in 10 minutes - check out is 12! We called to reception and where told this was the technical team and it was fine no need to vacate - we then went off to do our last minute shopping - on our return to our rooms at 11.45 their keys cards were no longer working.
The staff did then apologise but as I said it left us with a "let down" feeling and tainted our view of Prague and the hotel.
