“This was a classic European boutique hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 March 2013

We stayed 2 nights at the Savic, and found the staff and accommodations to be friendly, clean, and first rate. We have stayed in numerous 'boutique' hotels in Europe and the States, preferring them to large corporate hotels, and the Savic was a charmer. The room had old world elegance with modern appliances and bathroom. The Savic is located in the center of Prague, not far from the Charles Bridge that goes to the palaces, and also just around the corner from all sorts of shopping and dining. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, which was great as English is not spoken by a majority of the residents.

My partner and I stayed at this hotel during the last week of February and it was amazing. I've read the other reviews and will try not to repeat what has already been said and instead include some other (hopefully) useful information.

On arrival we were greeted by Jana who is exceptional at her job. She made us very welcome and gave us lots of local information. The best welcome I have ever received from a hotel. Very personal and friendly.

We were lucky enough to stay in a junior suite for a couple of night of our stay and it didn't disappointment, it was amazing. We then moved into a superior room which was of the same high standard and just a little bit smaller in size. The beds were very comfortable and everywhere was very clean. The whole building and its decor has been done to a high standard and is very sympathetic to the origin of the building. The rooms were both very spacious as was the gorgeous bathrooms which had showers and a very deep baths. The furnishings in the room are of a high standard, which isn't essential but does make for a lovely experience. Each of the rooms we stayed in had comfortable seating and a writing desk.

There is free wifi throughout the hotel and a free to use safe in the rooms. They also offer room service but we did not take advantage of this. The hotel includes a smoking lounge which means you're not forced to stand on the doorstep if you do smoke.

All of the staff we encountered were helpful and friendly. Reception staff were happy to book tickets for a show for us and this was done very efficiently.

Overall, this hotel really added value to our experience of Prague and I cannot recommend it highly enough. If you visit this hotel, be sure to pay a visit to the small bakery around the corner, yummy.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 306 and 307 and they were both beautiful. They look out to a relatively busy stree...

This hotel provided exceptional service. The staff was wonderful, providing us with maps and information when we arrived, along with a welcome drink. Just what we needed after a long day of travel. They really went above and beyond, answering all our questions, providing a taxi for our return trip, and even packing a sandwich lunch for us to take with from our earling morning departure. Wow!
Our room was very clean, beds were very comfortable, and the hotel is a blocks walk to the old town center. I would highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Prague.

Excellent hotel, a couple of minutes walk to OldTown Square/Astronomical clock, Charles Bridge and main shopping streets; five minutes from the Metro. Bus and metro from the airport very easy.

More importantly, friendly welcome, reception staff speak very good english, the hotel was spotless and our bedroom immaculate. The breakfasts were plentiful and tasty (hot and cold).

The Savic, based on our experience, is recommended without reservation.

We stayed here for several days last June and think it is likely the best hotel we have ever stayed at. The staff are fantastic, the rooms are beautifully furnished and very clean. The breakfast served is excellent and the location of the hotel within the old town part of the city is perfect. What else can I say?

I recently visited the Savic Hotel with my partner and would thoroughly recommend.

Prior to our arrival I emailed the hotel and arranged a car to pick us up from the airport and take us to the hotel. This was arranged without any hassle and was very good value for money, I recommend using this service.

On arrival we were greeting with a very friendly welcome and complimentary drink which I thought was a lovely touch.

We were in room 403 which was delightful and quiet, it had beautiful wooden beams, spaciousness, a lovely bathroom and a big comfy bed.

I loved the attention to detail for example the L'Occitane toiletries and Nespresso coffee machine.

Breakfast was wonderful, as well as offering continental style breakfast, pastries and fruit the chef will cook you an array of dishes including omelettes and fluffy pancakes with maple syrup.

All staff were extremely polite and helpful, particularly Jana and a new chap that had just started on reception.

It is perfectly located close to the astronomical clock, Old Town Square and Charles Bridge.

We would definitely return to the Savic Hotel when visiting Prague again!

Room Tip: Wwe found that room 403 was really hot, especially during the night, something to gear in mind for t...

This hotel is both unusual and stylish. If you want to stay somewhere unique and full character we recommend the Savic without hesitation. The attention to detail and quality of materials used create a luxurious but understated interior. This attention to detail is evident whether you are sat in reception, the restaurant or your room. The staff are friendly, polite & professional. The location is ideal for anyone wishing to explore the old town area of Prague. One minute takes you to the centre of the old town while Charles bridge is 5 minutes away in the opposite direction. I would have awarded this hotel 5/5 if our room located in the loft of the building had not been so warm. The room itself was well furnished, had exposed beams and a luxurious marble bathroom. Despite having A/C we could not cool the room to a level we were fully comfortable with. However I must stress that someone else may well have found the room temperature to have been perfect for them! I do not wish to finish on a negative because Savic is a beautiful, well-run, unique hotel in an excellent location. It also represents fantastic value for money.
