This hotel has an excellent location. Very close to the most nicest Prague attractions. We were too couples and booked 2 standard rooms. As there was only one standard left when we arrived, we were given one standard and one deluxe for the same price ! The concierge is very attentive and breakfast delicious. If you arrive by car, you can use the valet parking service

Room Tip: we stayed at a deluxe room overlooking the corner....beautiful

I'm rating this hotel based on the price we paid and the quality/stars that it is supposed to provide.

The hotel is in a FABULOUS location. Right in the heart of old town, less than 5 minutes to the square. The furnishings are also FABULOUS. However, my rave review stops there. Our "proper" (as per other reviews) coffee machine did not work. They were truly skimpy on towels. For instance, on the second day they did not replenish our towels appropriately including leaving out a full size towel, a hand towel and a wash cloth. So, 2 people only had one clean of each type! Their shampoo and conditioner (a woman speaking) were awful!

And, another review said they could not fully test the a/c. We did and it did NOT work!

Also, other reviewers mentioned it and I discounted it, but it's true: their breakfast is awful! Our omelets were awful. I ordered a mushroom and cheese omelet and only got a few pieces of mushroom slices and some shredded cheese, but not enough. Their other offerings also were shabby. We received better breakfasts in hotels for which we paid much less!

We decided to pay for the location and quality of the hotel. We got the location, it was great!
But, the quality of service was severely lacking.

If I had to choose whether or not to stay there again, my answer would be no. There are other hotels in the area with great locations!

We found the hotel to be in an excellent location, close to all the tourist attractions. The breakfast was particularly good, you could order eggs any way you wanted. The staff were very friendly and helpful, excellent free wifi. Had tea and coffee making facilities, with a proper coffee machine.

Room Tip: All rooms seemed to be good

The Savic was very comfortable for our 4 night stay. The room, The Attic Suite, was spacious, and with all the facilities you expect. It is also very quiet but at the expense of decent views of the city. However, the room was not for the unfit as although there is a lift you are still expected to climb many stairs. In fact the hotel has many randomly located stairs so avoid if this is a problem. Other than that the hotel should be seriously considered because of its location in the centre of the old town. You can walk everywhere. The associated restaurant is OK but not up to the standard of the hotel.

We stayed here in March 2012 not 2014, but it doesn't go back that far. Great location being in the centre of Old Town, but quiet inside and beautiful interior, we love our room. Great service and food. Superb value for money!!

Set in the heart of the old town but quiet inside - a great combination for a city break. Friendly and helpful staff who are on hand to help with tickets for attractions, advice on trams and buses and general information. Clean good sized room with 'proper' coffee machine and excellent breakfast after a comfy night's sleep. Great.

Other reviewers have mentioned the great location and neat rooms. We had that 'attic' suite and found it roomy and relaxing. The weather was cool so we never had to put the a/c to the full test, and I have to assume it will keep everything cool during the summer months as well. Only two smallish side windows for open air ventilation. Note: the attic suite is on the fourth floor, and the elevator goes as high as three. Get a bellman for this operation and you can walk the rest.
The main desk/concierge people were very helpful. They arranged for a car and driver to bring us in from the airport (about 29€ before tip). Boy is that nice! Then arranged for the ' all inclusive' walking tour, where we found our guide was a history major and spent time in Chicago. He knew his stuff! They also answered other questions about currency. Like it or not you will need Czech koruna for things you buy by cash. Euros are not the currency and you are subject a bad rate, maybe, where ever you try to use them here and there. We got more than we needed and then partially paid the room account with them and charged the difference when leaving. Visa cards seemed to please everybody, so that is what we used. We really were impressed by Prague, and I am sure you will be, too.

Room Tip: See the main review about the 'attic' room
