We stayed at the Savic for 3 nights at the end of April. It lived up to all our expectations based on previous reviews. We had room 208 which is just lovely with beautiful high ceiling, four poster bed, 3 huge windows. The bathroom was small compared to the rest of the room but that's only to be expected. The bed was very comfortable and there was little outside noise. Our only complaint was that the buffet breakfast was a bit chaotic and items running low/empty took what seemed like an age to be refilled. We had to get our own coffee each morning at breakfast as the 3 waiters were simply rushed off their feet and had little or no time to offer the type of service you'd expect from a 4* hotel and hence my 4 rating and not a 5. We also had drinks twice on the terrace in front of the hotel and again service was very slow because there were not enough waiters. We saw other people waiting over an hour for food which is just not good enough. The location of the hotel is excellent and it's just a couple of minutes walk to the Old Town Square and Charles Bridge. We walked to Wencelas Square once and just didn't like the area at all. We had to twice fend off phoney "distressed tourists" in that area but had no such experiences in the Old Town. Although you are repeatedly warned and should take notice to look after your wallets/bags as pickpockets thrive in Prague (the same as in all other major cities). We ate at Pizzeria Donna which was excellent value and also on the top floor of the Paledium Shopping Centre which offered lovely freshly cooked food at a fraction of the price you'd pay for lunch around the main squares. All in all we had a great time and would recommend the Savic most highly. Just remembered, we booked our airport transfer with www.prague -airport-shuttle.com who were excellent and I'd also highly recommend this company.

Excellent location near to all the local attractions like the square and the King Charles Bridge. The staff are friendly and the rooms are very good and cleaniness is also excellent. The staff on arrival were very friendly and informative and explained fully the differnt routes to the tourist locations and also the public transport. One point when using the public transport is make sure you do put you ticket in the validating machine on the trams as inspectors do get on the bus and if you have not validated it immediately they will fine you instantly as we found out. Apart from this one unpleasant issue the rest of the holiday was great and we got to eat and drink in some wonderful bars and restaurants very close to the hotel and no matter what time we arrived back at the hotel the staff were always helpful and friendly.

The location of this hotel is great! a few meters from main square and from Charles Bridge. The staff is friendly and the rooms are good and cleaniness is also very good. The breakfast is not superb but good for a 4 stars hotel.
The curtains on the windows' bedroom should be thicker. To much light at dawn.
Should also have wifi internet.

This was the friendliest hotel we've ever stayed in. Reception sat us down upon arrival, offered us beverage refreshment, gave us maps and the lay of the land and told us the high points of their city. Charming desk clerks even looked up the menus when we asked them to make a reservation at a restaurant.

Our room was comfortable and quiet. Furnishings had old-world charm and the bath was well laid out. Breakfast was delicious, plenty of options and hot cooked foods.

Location was central -- right in the old section of town. We could walk to everything. The cab driver needed to use his GPS to find it though.

We'd recommend it without reservation. Hope it never changes.
