Excellent small hotel round the corner from the magnificent old town square. Very nice room with marble clad bathroom. Our bathroom was quite small but the room was large and ideal. Very comfortable bed - like the US Westin hotel beds - very comfortable and good night 's sleep. Our room was on the third floor and it was very quite each night even though there were a lot of pedestrians near by. The windows had two sheets of glass so were well sound insulated. The room air-con was very good and needed on the hotter days. The 32" LCD TV was good but more english language channels would have been better (CNN, Bloomberg News and BBC World was I think the only choices). The receptionist was a very fine lady with very helpfull tourist advice at check-in which incuded a map marked up with things to see and it was nice receive a free drink while checking-in. All the staff we met were very courteous and helpful. We did not eat in the hotel restaurant other than at breakfast which was satisfactory. The cleaning of the room was immaculate.

For a high quality room near the old town square I could recommend this two year old hotel to anyone. It is a converted monastery and very tastefully decorated with a combination of new and old very well done to maintain the ambience of the building.

A hotel in a great location (in the heart of the old city) that is quiet, refined, serves great food and has some of the most welcoming staff you can come across is a real find. Add one where the rooms are decorated in a calm and clean style, beds that are the most comfortable you've ever slept in and the perect bathroom and that would describe our experience of Hotel Savic. Our first visit to Prague was made all the more successful by the reception staff who provided your own travel and city guide service - just brilliant.

my husband and i stayed at the savic hotel for two nights in may.when we arrived at the hotel the receptionist gave us a welcome drink and gave us maps etc about praque.we stayed in room 308 which was lovely and had everything we needed.tea and coffee, mini bar, hairdryer, large mirror, safe etc and very very comfy bed.there was a bit noise from the street opposite on the saturday night but a lot quieter on the sunday night.having never been in praque before we were amazed at how beautiful a city it is.the views from praque castle are stunning.we would definitely go back to praque and wouldnt hesitate on booking the savic hotel again.it really was fab!!

Just a couple of side streets away from Old Town Square. We booked two nights at Savic based on TripAdvisor reviews and found it perfectly serviceable, but perhaps not worthy of the #3 ranking among all Prague hotels. (We also stayed at Ventana, and preferred it, although slightly more costly.)

The corner room (307) was spacious and quiet, with views of one street leading to Old Town and lesser views of another side street. Hardwood floors and older-style furniture were paired with a modern, marble-walled bathroom.

As at least one other review has indicated, breakfast was somewhat disorganized, perhaps due to the awkward physical setup of the area for a combination buffet / waiter service.

One annoyance, which we were too rushed to spend time discussing, was the manner of computing the bill on checkout. The room rate was quoted and reserved in Euros, but then charged in Czech Crowns -- which then was also shown on the final bill in Euros, presumably using the hotel's exchange rate, at a noticeably higher number than the quoted Euro rate at time of reservation. It would seem that if the hotel is going to advertise a rate in Euros, it should charge that rate at time of checkout, and if the local currency has fluctuated in the meantime, the hotel should bear the fluctuation, not the traveler. (Alternatively, advertise your rate in the local currency!) American travelers will likely experience a double currency adjustment, the second time when their credit card company converts Crowns into dollars on the credit card bill. Maybe this is de riguer for Prague hotels, but we didn't like it.

The hotel offered a car service for airport pickup, and we were pleased to use it. The driver (Thom) was very pleasant and took delight in showing us the sights on our way into town. Cost seemed very reasonable (800 CZK, or about 30 Euros, plus tip.)

I have decided to stay in Savic hotel based on Tripadvior's review. My choice was right!! Location is perfect. it just takes 5minutes to be in the famous astrological clock. You don't need to ride a taxi or a tram. Everything is in walking distance. The room is spacious and modern. It was very comfortable to stay in the room. Overall I reall like this hotel and strongly recommend to book this hotel.

If you are going to Prague - this is the place to stay. Location is excellant - easy walk to everything. Recommend taking their drivers from the airport. No hassle way to arrive after a long trip. Front desk staff were so nice - the orientation with maps helped us get a good feel of places to go and see. Room was beautiful. Very nice size and furnishings. A large bathroom and one of the best showers I have every experienced. My husband loved the TV in the bathroom. Nice to have a good coffeemaker in the room that was well stocked. Good internet and nice to have a large desk to work on. The bed is so comfortable and love the duvet covering. Only complaint and that was one wall was not overly clean but just a small oversight. The positives far outweigh the one negative. The breakfast was very good and lots of food. We didn't need lunch. The overall experience of this hotel can be rated as awesome.
As for Prague - I wish everyday that I was back there. One of the best places in the world
