“Fantastic Hotel”
Reviewed 9 February 2010

What a fantastic hotel The Savic is and a bargain too. We had the customary welcome drink on arrival and our room was great - flat screen television, huge bed, coffee maker etc and great bathroom. Breakfast was good with fresh fruit, cheeses and meats and even sparkling wine. The location was great too right near the old town and just up from U Fleku beer hall. All in all a great hotel.

My husband and I arrived at then Savic for a 5 night break in Prague. The hotel is not only centrally located but is superb. Upon arrival we were greeted with a complimentary glass of beer. Then when we went to our room we were in awe! The room was superb, a huge double bed with quality fixtures and fittings, we wanted for nothing. The staff were all very friendly and breakfast was a eat as much as you like buffet that had both Continental and English fare.
This a really superb hotel and I would recommend it to anyone thinking of going to Prague, we will certainly stay there again when we next visit this beautiful city

Located in the heart of the old town but still quiet enough for a good sleep, excellent breakfast buffet (who needs lunch ? ) issue with door lock resolved immediately and service all round superb. Not sure why you would want to stay anywhere else. Print yourself a map to help locating as the winding streets can confuse .... maybe thats the gluwein.

What an amazing hotel !!! On arrival to the hotel from the airport (we used https://www.prague-airport-transfers.co.uk both ways and they are highly recommended) We were greeting with a warm welcome and a choice of drinks (sparkling wine, czech beer or tea/coffee- we both had the lovely wine which was brought to us by a waiter on a silver tray !!)
The receptionist gave us loads of useful infomation on prague and provided us with maps and resturant tips etc.We were allocated a beautiful room on the second floor with vaulted ceilings that must have been 20ft high ,with a huge crystal chandelier and a four poster bed, wooden floors and lovely sofas and lamps etc .the antique wardrobe had a light that came on when you opened it, which also contained the safe..very cool !!.There was also an ipod dock (which is not advertised) a huge plasma tv ,mini bar (very reasonable ) and a fancy pod type coffee machine which was a little hard to work out but we got there eventually !!
Whilst we were wooing and looking at everything,a waiter came to the door with a ice bucket and a bottle of complimentary chilled champagne with a happy birthday card from the staff at savic (It was my birthday ,and my husband had emailed in advance to request a special room) How thoughtful of them and what a great start to our first time in prague.
The bathroom was great, double ended bath and a great power shower. The locitanne products were lovely (shampoo 35ml ,conditioner 50ml,shower gell, 50ml,body lotion 50ml and a bar of soap 50g) the products were all replenished on our second day also. The bathroom had a proper salon sized hairdryer, comb, shower caps, sewing kit nail file etc and also had a set of digital weighing scales ( i presumed to weigh luggage). They really have thought of eveything at the Savic.
Breakfast was served from 730 - 1000 am and was wonderful. It was buffet style with fresh fruits, cereals, cold meats, salmon, cheeses, crossiants, choc au pain, jams etc.The hot food consisted of sausage, bacon boiled eggs, vegetables ??,potatoes etc.The fresh bread was delicious and warm !!
there was even sparkling rose wine at the breakfast buffet if you wanted to have it !!
The hotel itself was very very clean and professional at all times.A perfect location- a few minutes walk to the old town square and a few minutes walk to the king charles bridge.
All in all we had an amazing time in beautiful prague and an unforgetable experience at the wonderful savic.Dont go anywhere else !!!

The Hotel Savic lived up to and even beyond our expectations. Our room was very spacious, a bit like a junior suite. The bed was huge and the facilities great; flat screen tv, state of the art coffee maker, classy furnishings and lights and a great bathroom with its own window and top of the range shampoos and shower gels etc. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice, fresh fruit, cheeses, meats, hot food and even sparkling wine. The location was great near the old town square and a few minutes walk from Charles Bridge with some good bars near by. All this for a very reasonable price too...

We have just returned from a four day trip to Prague having stayed at the Savic Hotel, which was chosen on the basis of good reviews from previous guests and also the convenient location just off the Old Town Square.
On arrival we were not disappointed and were greeted with a warm reception from the front desk and offered complimentary drinks and an introduction to the city.
As one of the previous guests has already mentioned, we were given one of the attic rooms with plenty of character and exposed beams which was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and well furnished in every sense including the all important Tea and Coffee making facilities which is always a plus with my wife!!!.
On our first night we chose the hotel restaurant and again were not disappointed with good food and service from the staff who also provided the excellent breakfast's every morning with plenty of choice including the hot breakfast if required.
Overall, a lovely hotel in a great position with warm and friendly staff, especially the front of house, which is always important for that first impression.
I'm sure we will return!!
