“Beautiful hotel with great staff and fantastic location”
Reviewed 13 June 2010

I can't speak highly enough about this hotel. We got in to the hotel around 10am and so were a little early to check in. However Jana who greeted us at reception was extremely helpful and told us the highlights and held our bags for us while we went out and looked at the beautiful city. When we checked in we had the most beautiful room, large and gorgeous decoration with chandeliers and a 4 poster bed. The hotel used to be a dominican monastry and some of the beautiful historic touches still remain.
The location is fantastic, right next to the astronomical clock in the heart of the old city. Prague is a fantastic place to visit and was highlighted by this great hotel with amazing service. I could not recommend it more

Very recently took a long four day weekend stay, with my partner, in the Savic Hotel and really could not fault much at all.
From check in to check out nothing was to much trouble for all the staff, especially Kamila the receptionist.
The breakfast buffet was more than ample for any appetite with a good variety for any tastes.
Our room (305) was larger than expected with a lovely marble bathroom and the beds exceptionally comfortable.
Location has to be the key word here. Once one acquaints oneself with the back streets and inter connecting ally ways, it very easy to walk to any part of Praque in twenty minutes. Except to the Castle and Cathedral, but a five minute walk to Spalena road, the nearest tram stop, one can pick up a No 22 to take you up the hill.
If I had to fault the Hotel in anyway then it would be from a safety point of view. One does not keep an electrical hair dryer next to the sink, where it can be splashed with water.
Secondly, at the bottom of the stairs from our room, there is a large glass partition with the restaurant on the other side. Coming down the stairs for the first time, one could easily not realize there is glass there and try to go into the restaurant.
Would we go again? most definitely.

Prague is a compact city with the most stunning architecture. The Savic is in probably the best location, being central and just round the corner from Old Square. Our stay was 4 nights. We like the individual style of the hotel and felt very comfortable and relaxed. Unfortunately the weather was poor but despite this we enjoyed Prague and would definitely return. Super breakfast, very helpful English-speaking staff. Nicely furnished room with excellent marble bathroom. One tip is NOT to go at weekend as Prague still seems very popular for stag parties and it might get a bit rowdy, but through the week is quieter. A great experience!

My husband and I stayed in this hotel at the beginning of June 2010. Choosing it after much research on hotels in Prague. We were not disappointed! We had emailed the hotel before arriving to arrange airport transfers which went faultlessly (man in arrivals hall with a card with our name on it) and were much cheaper than a taxi from the rank would have been (we could even charge to our hotel account, negating the need for cash). The location is fantastic, a 2 minute walk from the Old Town square but in a quiet, almost pedestrianised location. We were welcomed with a complimentary drink (excellent Czech sparkling wine or beer) and very helpful local maps and information. Our room was on the top floor with beautiful parquet floors and exposed beams. The mini bar was well stocked and incredibly reasonable. Lighting was good, big flat screen TV, N'Espresso coffee maker, effective air conditioning and nicely equipped bathroom with lovely L'Occitaine tolietries. Breakfast was very good and we enjoyed the selection, including cooked to order omelettes. We utilised the check in voucher for 100kr discount in their restaurant on the first night and enjoyed the Czech specialities and the pizza. Excellent prices even without a voucher. The reception staff were very helpful and booked two restaurants for us during our stay at which we had fabulous meals with fabulous service (Villa Richter and Kampa Park). We had a fantastic stary and would not stay anywhere else in Prague. As a frequent traveller with high expectations I can thoroughly recommend this hotel for its quality, value, service & location.

What a great little hotel this is! The staff were very friendly and able to assist us with directions and setting up activities. The location is very good, just a 1 minute walk from the main square (therefore it is far enough away to be less noisy) and other sites. It has a tasty breakfast included in the hotel price. My wife enjoyed an omelet and the next day the cook remembered her exact order which shows the attention to detail to be found in every staff at hotel Savic.

The room was spacious and beautiful. The bed was the best I have had a t any hotel, large, soft yet supportive. And the complementary espresso maker in the room made waking up a delight.

We were 100% satisfied with our stay at Savic. We would have gladly paid more if needed.

Looking forward to staying there again on our next trip to Prague.

Bon Voyage and Safe Travels!

The savic was a fabulous place to stay. When we arrived we were told we were being upgraded - we ended up in what can only be described as a suite. The bed was big and very confortable, the bathroom was huge and the mini bar came well stocked.

The staff were extremely friendly and told us about the popular excursions in and around the city. Breakfast was fantastic with plenty of variety.

I'd recommend this hotel to anyone without a doubt.

We stayed here for two nights as part of an eight-night anniversary trip to Central Europe – looking back, we should have stayed for at least four nights, to experience more of Prague, and to enjoy two more nights of the Savic’s wonderful hospitality. The room was clean, spacious, well-appointed and comfortable, and the breakfast each morning was superb – but it was the welcoming and accommodating staff that made the Savic such an enjoyable home base for our short time in Prague. The young woman at reception was especially helpful with directions, arranging tours and a car to the train station, among other things. The location is perfect, even though we had a little trouble finding it at first, and the double windows, when closed, kept street noise to a minimum. We also enjoyed dinner at the hotel’s restaurant, eating outside. Passing stag and hen parties comprised of people intent on leaving Prague with fewer brain cells and non-donateable livers provided ample entertainment throughout the meal. One note about the patio seating, however – steer clear of the seats near the entrance to the souvenir shop next door unless you want to be subjected to high-volume Eurodisco.
