The hotel was located in an area where everything was easily within walking distance. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The rooms were clean and beautiful. Breakfast was great. I would highly recommend the Savic Hotel!!

Minutes away from the Astronomical Clock, Old Town Square and Charles Bridge, the Savic hotel has a great location from which to explore Prague. From the welcome champagne on arrival to booking our airport taxi the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It's easy to get to and from airport via public transport or around £25 for a taxi.

The rooms and public areas are very tastefully decorated in cream colours and dark wood, antique style furniture, crystal chandeliers and marble bathrooms (pictures on their own website don't do it justice).

Our room was on the 3rd floor but there was a lift and only a few steps to go up. Despite there being a street below, we didn't hear much noise and slept very well in our comfortable king size bed. There was a flat screen TV (that we didn't watch), a safe and tea and coffee making facilities.

The hotel restaurant serves great food with a wide choice. Breakfast was included in our deal (paid around £70 per night) and included a choice of eggs and pancakes cooked to order, bacon, mushrooms, beans, breads, pastries, fresh fruit and lots more including more pink champagne - fantastic. We really looked forward to getting up! We can also recommend the hotel's sister Indian restaurant - some of the best Indian cuisine we've ever had!

We managed to walk all over Prague but if you don't want to, trams and metro are easy to navigate (and fully explained by receptionist on arrival). Despite breaking my nose by falling off a pavement (no I wasn't drunk and Czech ambulance and hospital were great!) we still found Prague a beautiful city and the Savic is a fantastic hotel - can't wait to go back!

(Also, if in Prague do try the Art Nouveau restaurant "The Savoy" in Lesser Town and you may like the one in Henry's Tower, expensive but unique.)

My husband and I travel Europe extensively, and this hotel rates as one of the best we've seen. You cannot beat the location or the price. You are literally a 2 to 3-minute walk from the Old Town or Charles Bridge. The staff are phenomenal. We were met at the airport by a hotel driver, and then we were met with welcome cocktails on arrival. When we went to our room (Room 406), we were blown away. This is Europe so you are used to small rooms and tripping over the bed to get to the bathroom, but not at Savic. We opened the door and saw beautiful hardwood floors, exposed wood beams, vaulted ceilings, and a clean and modern bathroom. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. I've never taken the time to review a hotel before, but this one deserves recognition. If you are visiting Prague, you will not be disappointed in Savic Hotel.

A delightfully restored hotel three minutes walk from the Old Square. Staff are warm, helpful and friendly. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. If your planning to stay in Prague you can't go past the Savic.

My husband and I visited Prague a couple of years ago and stayed at Savic Hotel. The hotel was so amazing, we couldn't wait to visit Prague again. We are just back from our second trip and Savic was even better than the first time. On our last visit, we had a double room, which was lovely, light and bright. We stayed in a suite this time that was extremely large and absolutely beautiful! The ceilings were hand painted, the bathroom was luxurious, and the bed was very comfortable. They re-did the breakfast area since our last visit and it is very, very nice. Along with a great breakfast buffet, you can actually get eggs/omelets made to order, which we haven't seen at any of the other European hotels we have stayed in over the years. Savic's location could not be better. While right in the middle of old town and a couple of short blocks to the main square, it is on a very small and quiet street, so when you head back after a long day, you can really relax. Above all, the staff is so fabulous! We were always greeted warmly and everyone was very eager to make our stay perfect - which it was.

The hotel is perfectly located for exploring the old town, being a very short distance from the town square. The Charles Bridge is also within easy walking distance to cross the river to Prague Castle. The more modern shopping area around Wenceslas Square was also within easy walking distance.

The receptionist was very helpful at check-in and even provided a welcome drink (beer and sparkling wine) whilst giving an overview of the hotel and the surrounding area.

We had one of the beautiful attic rooms (4th floor) with exposed wooden beams that we really enjoyed. The room was equipped with a flat-screen TV (three English channels) and free Internet access (via cable). The room also had a mini-bar and a coffee machine. The mini-bar fridge came in handy for storing beers that I bought from a nearby shop! The bathroom was fairly small due to the sloping ceiling but was well appointed.

My only negative comments about the hotel involved the food. We ate dinner one evening in the hotel's restaurant - U-Dominikana - and were not impressed. There was only one other occupied table in the restaurant but service was very slow (a single waiter). The quality of the food can best be described as average. My half-duck with roast potatoes and spinach was swimming in green water! The free buffet breakfast was average - my freshly cooked omelet was good but my wife's pancakes were not edible.

Despite the average food quality, the hotel still deserves an excellent review. There are many locations nearby to obtain good quality food that there's no need to rely on the hotel food. The food stalls in the town square provide wonderfully tasting food at very affordable prices.

We have just returned from a long weekend break in Prague staying at the Savic. We are 5 young early 60 year olds and we had a terrific time in Prague. The hotel lived up to all the good reviews we had read about it. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was excellent with a very wide menu to choose from and the rooms were all very clean and well appointed. The reception staff spoke good English and were very helpful in showing how to get to the places of interest, including which tram to take, where to buy a ticker, how many stops before you had to get off etc. The location of the hotel is also very good with all the most popular sights within easy walking distance. If you want to go to a good hotel in the centre of Prague you can't go far wrong with this one!
