Hotel Ehrlich
Ranked #493 of 648 Hotels in Prague
Reviewed 3 July 2013

Hotel Ehrlich is what you could expect from a 4 stars hotel, when you take into consideration that 4 stars in Czech Republic equals to 3 stars elsewhere. OK, so we cleared that up. Clean - yes. Friendly - Hard to say if under Friendly you would consider the ability to communicate with the candidate to become your friend. Spacious - not really. Resembles the photos on their web site - No. Quiet - Nope, come on, its on a main road. Neighborhood - Creepy and meets the expectations that if something is located right next to a sex shop, you can have your hopes too high....Breakfast - good selection if you have the metabolism and genes of a Czech and are able to digest saturated fat and rich sodium diet the minute you get up. If you are coffee drinker - look elsewhere. I could continue like that for ever but here is the bottom line - it is far away from the city center and main attractions. You either take a bus for 30-40 min (and the bus stop is indeed in front of the hotel), or take the tram which is about 10 min walking distance. All that might have been acceptable, provided that it was no 38 degrees outside, and the bus and tram were more like a baking oven than anything else. At the end of the day - I would certainly invest a bit more and get a place that is nearby the old city.

Room Tip: Away from the main road.

Arrived at this hotel on the 24th of may with a group of 26, when entering the hotel a friend of mine who organized the trip went to book in and was told the hotel was double booked and we were been moved to a new hotel 5 miles outside the city and there was 3 taxis outside waiting for us... we point blankly refused to this and rang our booking agent to explain what happened, there was no manager in the hotel as she was conveniently away for the weekend and the bloke on reception was left to deal with this situation, he told us the hotel that we were been transferred to was the only hotel available in Prague with enough rooms to accommodate our party,

meanwhile on Trivago i found over 39 hotels in Prague with availability for our party, while there we were not even offered a cup of tea and had to ask for one, which in turn ended up as a free bottle of beer

we were in this hotel over 2 hours while our booking agent in Ireland sorted out a hotel from his house which did...

we didn't get to see any of the hotel to rate it on Food, rooms etc but on service its a -10

Nice atmosphere, clean rooms with comfortable beds. Breakfast is good and so is the parking in the basement. Rooms are quiet and staff is really helpfull. In my opinion, great value for money. 15 minutes from the city center by bus.

This hotel is a bit out of the city, but there is a bus stop just out of the hotel or you may walk to the city. There are lots of sights to see in Prague. Around the hotel there are a few restaurants. Just out of the hotel up the hill you have a great view over the city of Prague.
We got a cheap rate for the hotel (parking was even included) and the hotel room was ok.

First of all, it is not a 4* hotel at all!
If you are looking for budget hotel, than offer them max of 60euro, never the regular price! It is not worth more than that.
a) Location is "near" to train station, but you will never arrive on your own there.
b) Room was dirty, bathroom (used toilet paper, hairs), bedroom hairs in the bed, bed-clothes with some holes? unbelievable!!!!!
c) breakfast - very poor, but as I said not a 4* hotel, so no surprise
d) location to the city ok, about 20-25 min. walk.

If somebody will ask me, I wont recommend this hotel to a friend and will never again visit this property.
