Reviewed 10 July 2012

The major flaw is the bad reception. When we arrived, there was a flood in the main room with a stewpot on the floor to collect the water that flawed out of the ceiling. When we asked the manager, he said we had to wait an hour and that the water would stop flawing ! It was very hot in the flat, which has no air conditioning. When we asked for a second fan (we were four, dispatched in two rooms), the manager said that it was not possible. We went around and when we came back, there was nobody at the reception. The day after, there was a second flood in the flat, this time the water also fell on the bed in the bedroom. The manager made us at last move to another flat. Why he did not make that at our arrival is a mystery. Near the reception door, there is a notice : "I am already disturbed. Please come in"…

There are very few cars moving on the street and that is quiet during the day. But there is a hotel across the street, and the guests sometimes make a lot of noice when coming back at 1.00, 2.00 or 4.00 in the night.

The daily fee for the parking is 15 € each night (that was not mentioned on the website).

Abbiamo pagato a persona 65-70 euro in totale.

I with my boyfriend and 5 other couples stayed at the '"Atlante-Residence - Ai quattro angeli" in the period 14-18/01/2011 (not this year). All rooms have private bathrooms and kitchenettes, and some were very spacious than others. The mine was one of those spacious (I think on the 2nd floor accessible by stairs or lift): entrance hall with kitchenette and bathroom, large room with sofa, double bed and wardrobe. The room had TV and the kitchen was fully equipped (even sponge and dish soap and kettle). I think the cleaning was done 1 time in 4 days but can not remember ... The breakfast was not too abundant, but for the Italians was more than good: cereal, milk, biscuits, snacks, juices.
We paid 65-70 euros per person in total.
Greeting us was the owner (Italian) very nice and helpful. He gave us maps of the city and suggested a restaurant (I forget the name) near the residence (one night we were there and we enjoyed it .. I recommend the ice cream with hot raspberries for dessert!). The residence is located not far from the center ... a nice walk you can easily reach the historic center!
From the airport we arrived at the residence through a transfer offered by the 35 euro (for 8 people)!
So if I go back to this wonderful city I will stay in this residence surely!

My husband and I felt welcome from the moment we stepped into Ai Quattro Angeli. The warm welcome, the assistance, the stunning room, great breakfasts and very thing being at your fingertips was amazing from the start.
All of this coupled with a great location and excellent price was simply wonderful.
We cannot thank the owner and staff enough and highly recommend Ai Quattro Angeli to young and old.

I stayed here for three nights while recovering from an operation. It was absolutely wonderful to have our own apartment in Prague that was so central and so close to useful things like a Tesco and public transport (metro and tram). It is also close to the river which was nice for walks. We had a deluxe double apartment which was very clean, bright and well-equipped. The kitchen area was particularly well-appointed and it was nice to have a separate bedroom and a large bath as well as a shower attachment. I'm surprised to hear other reviews saying it was noisy because we found it incredibly quiet - just perfect for resting after my operation. The staff were brilliant and went out of their way to help us with things like taxi bookings and blown fuses! They were very friendly and honest. We also had cleaners come and clean the room every day which you often don't get with self-catering apartments. This residence is a fantastic deal and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a good base in the centre of Prague.

Room Tip: I would recommend the deluxe double apartment. I can't comment on the other categories as I have...

Atlante Residence is a very good place, really near to a metro station and tram station. Excellent staff, very helpful and extra bonus for us because speaks Spanish.

The room was spacious with everything you could need in your stay. Probably the only problem is WiFi. But you are in vacation, who needs read work's email, hehehe.

We had a quadruple and a single and the rooms were a great size. The large room had very noisy neighbors. Great location about 10 mins from Charles Bridge. Breakfast was the most disappointing aspect with the coffee the worst aspect. The staff were very helpful.

Thank you for your review! I´m happy to inform you we have already updated our breakfast and now there are much more fresh things from a bakery.
About the noisy neighbors unfortunately we cannot control 24H all the guest and I give an emergency 24H mobile number for call in case of problems.

I stayed in Prague for 6 nights and was thoroughly happy with Atlante. Reception is manned until 6pm with helpful tips on getting around (nearby laundry place, maps, etc.) but otherwise, it's like having your own apartment in Prague.

Loved: Having a kitchen with a Tesco's just about 5 minutes away (right next to the metro) so was able to whip up some comfort food after spending a month traveling around; location was pretty good (making a triangle between Old Town and Wenceslas Square). Theater and some old churches nearby which held classical music performances. Decent cold breakfast available but after a couple of days, got a bit dull so didn't bother waking up for it. The location is close to the metro, so there were lots of different trams that went by taking you to all parts of the city. Free internet (broadband) was good.

Apartment was much more spacious than your average hotel room. That, together with the kitchen, made Atlante a great choice for my stay.

If you've never been to Prague before, don't be put off by the graffiti in the area surrounding the apartments. There's actually graffiti EVERYWHERE in Prague. Neighborhood felt safe day or night.

Tips: (1) With most of the main sights within 20 minutes of each other, Prague is very walkable. I took advantage of Sandeman’s free walking tours for an excellent orientation of the main neighborhoods. I would thoroughly recommend doing one of these on arrival to better decide which areas deserve more time on your own. (2) Cesky Krumlov is relatively easy to do on your own via bus/train and maybe a taxi. It does make for a long day, though, as it’s about 2.5 to 3 hours from Prague. I went with a tour company and for a little over USD 100 (book online for 10% off), had everything covered, including a great meal in an atmospheric medieval pub and entrance to the excellent Castle with a separate guided tour inside. I felt it represented decent value for not having to worry about logistics. During winter, though, the magnificent castle is closed, so be aware. (3) Prague has an excellent metro and an even better tram system (runs all day / night and was 100% on time). You can buy individual tickets or passes for 1 or more days. Most ticket locations are unmanned, so make sure you have change on you at all times, as ticket machines do not accept bills. (Also, need change for bathrooms, even the ones in McDonald's).
