“A real gem in Prague”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 May 2014

Spent 3 nights at this hotel during our 2 week European vacation and can't say enough about the service we received. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by Lukáš who really made us feel special. He took us up to our room and made sure we knew how everything worked. He offered to book our tours for us and he did and we really had a blast. From the Hop on and Off city tour bus to a Romantic Classical Easter Concert at St. Michael Monastery to an evening of Jazz at the Reduta Jazz Club. He also recommended an authentic Czech restaurant and it was really good. On our first evening we had some tapas at the hotel's restaurant and I ordered a non-alcoholic drink which Juan hadn't made and brought it to me with fruit decorations and a lit sparkle. Juan and Brita greeted us every evening on our return to the hotel where we would stop for their Volcano dessert before going to bed!

Besides the staff that were excellent, our room was beautiful, same as the picture on their website. The hotel is in a great location and I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in a beautiful boutique hotel centrally located with an amazing personal touch and excellent customer service.

Really really wonderful stay!

Just got back from 4 super nights in Prague and of course 'The Icon'. So glad we chose this Hotel, it was all what "the most" people said it would be. As for the other few, the noise wasn't a problem for us. We expected there to be something as we were in one of the most populated capital cities in Europe and it being Easter but given that it was quiet really. For us it isn't worth complaining about.
we had a room on the first floor(102) and for us it was perfect. The room was really comfortable( Ahh those beds ,-) and clean. The staff, be it on reception or waiting on in the restaurant were all very friendly and efficient. The Bar Staff are a very nice bunch too and the food tasted great. All in all, it's a great Hotel. Clean, Friendly and very comfortable. A great location close to the old town.

I booked this hotel for the price, location and the modern feel and we weren’t disappointed.
Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was ready upon our early arrival, and we had been upgraded. Not sure Id pay for the upgrade but the room was bigger.
The rooms look exactly as they do online – modern, sleek and clean, We had a view over the street however this was quiet overnight so no disturbance from the street,,,,,,shame about our noisy bedroom neighbours and screaming kids!
The location is really near to all the tourist areas of Prague, taxis nearby or can be called by the hotel. There are bars restaurants etc nearby.
The room was quite warm and I couldnt figure out how to alter this!!
The bathroom was huge and modern, plenty of towels. The beds were twin pushed together with separate duvets but comfy. Huge soft pillows – i couldn’t find any extra so I ordered an extra from reception
Free bottle of drinking water on arrival however paid for after, also a minibar which we didn’t use.
Housekeeping came at varying times and were always thorough.
The building is a beautiful old building with marble staircases, it has a lift too so no worries! We didn’t use the spa on site but reductions were available for hotel staff.
Breakfast was available at any time which was a great extra. Breakfast was a buffet of cold meats breads and juices as well as fruit, and an available hot dish such as eggs on toast or pancakes. They were all delicious.
We ate at the tapas bar and enjoyed the onsite bar – they are large but cosy and modern too, as well as reasonably priced.
All in all a lovely hotel which we would stay at again.

Fab boutique hotel. Comfy beds and gorgeous bedlinen, some street noise, just traffic though as the room was at the front of the hotel but hey you are in a city! Good breakfast choices. The lounge bar was excellent and bar prices really good. Also tried the tapas and found it to be pretty good value.

Can certainly recommend this hotel......just don't try the coffee in the room lol

Stayed here for 5 days. The bed and natural goose down duvet made it a pleasure to sleep here night after night. Rooms are fine and modern. Breakfast is on the poor side as the limited choice on offer is not what one expects from a four star hotel.

Remarkably friendly people at the reception (especially the gentleman) - the bar lounge is also nice, but should be re-designed to be more "warm" - the choice of bread & croissants for breakfast should be wider
