Nice quaint 9 rooms hotel. Nice people at the reception and all speak English fluently and are very helpful. I wished the service staff spoke English too. However the location is bang off Charles Bridge and cannot get better than that to visit all the amazing spots of Old Town Prague! A "must consider hotel" simply because of the location! The breakfast is okay, simple stuff that gets the job done. Must try the coffee at the cafe located at the entrance of the hotel.

Thank you for very nice review!
We are improving our breakfast selection every day and we reached perfect selection of good suitable for all kinds of breakfast. And you are totally right - the coffee at the restaurant next door is simply great!
Thank you again and be safe during your future travels!

We received such a warm welcome by Artom, not sure on spelling, sorry to say. A wonderful small hotel that was once part of the church next door. It is on a fairly busy street but overall quiet enough. Liked the location with an easy short walk to the Charles Bridge and Old Town. We have a wonderful room for three nights that has a small kitchen area complete with dish washer, stove top, refrigerator, dishes, etc. Also a sofa, great wood floors, area rug, table & chairs for two, etc. The fun part is that it is split level with a king bed upstairs. Stairs very steep so this room isn't for everyone...plus being over six feet tall may be a problem bumping your head Also, the bathroom is downstairs!!!! :( Very warm and inviting with original beams throughout. Such a personality!! Will always remember this special place.

There is only one word: "Fantastic"
All rooms are atrium with sleeping on the first floor. Small and fully equipped kitchen is available in room. Nice view to square or St. Nicolas church. Breakfest served in hall, so you will take what you want and eat it in private of your room.

Thank you so much for your lovely review! Our breakfast is slightly different then in other hotels but we are more and more sure that is the right direction.
It was great to have you around!

This is such a great find. W a helpful staff and location, it definitely helped our staff to be as enjoyable as possible. The apartment is spacious w a washing machine and the kitchenette workable. The breakfast is ordinary but there are resto around to compensate. Stayed here for 3 nights.

We arrived, from the UK, for a five night stay and had no problem finding the hotel which is very close to transport links (both metro and tram). Checking in was quick and easy with friendly and competent staff. The room was lovely, clean, and tidy and the kitchenette was stocked with some nice welcome treats, wine, snacks, beer, etc. and there was proper coffee and cafetieres provided (a simple but very welcome touch!).

We were in one of the rooms with a mezzanine sleeping area which we had no problem with at all. We were concerned when booking that the lack of air conditioning might be a problem (and the weather was very warm during our stay) but it was actually fine. There is a large fan supplied and with a window open downstairs (at the front of the building), and also on the mezzanine level (at the back of the building), a nice breeze flowed between the two levels keeping the room at quite a comfortable temperature.

The main room overlooked a square so it had a nice view and the bedroom mezzanine level window had a sweet view of the bell tower on the nearby church.

The location was perfect for us. It was very close to Charles Bridge and once you cross over that you are into the main city centre. We really liked the area immediately around the hotel too, with some nice restaurants down by the banks of the river looking onto Charles Bridge. It was also very easy to get to Petrin Hill and Letna parks. There are wonderful views from both parks and they are definitely worth the effort. Also nice was the short walk to the little island in the middle of the river (visible from Charles Bridge) where you can hire some pedal/rowboats - again easily accessible from the hotel.

We had only one issue at all during the stay - our shower only had cold water one time but a quick visit to the friendly receptionist sorted that out, the boiler was restarted and the problem solved. The breakfast was absolutely fine, lots of choice (meats, cheeses, breads, pastries, juices, yogurts, cereals, etc.) served buffet-style in the large corridor area. You just use the plates, cutlery, etc. that are supplied in your kitchenette.

I'd have no problem recommending the Nicholas Hotel to anyone looking for convenient, good-value accommodation with friendly and competent staff.
