“Hotel 10 steps away from the entrance to Terminals 1 and 2”
Reviewed 23 February 2009

Hotel is located literally 10 steps away from the main entrance to the Airport, come out of arrivals and its there it stares you in the face!

Hotel is a new build, built in the past year or so and part of the Europort complex of shops and restaurants which sits directly in front of Ruzyne Airport.

Check was friendly and an added plus is that the hotel rooms are located well away from the lift areas, you cross an internal courtyard on each floor to reach your room. Green is the main colour here as you would expect from a Courtyard, carpets and communal areas plus in the internal courtyard there is some grass/greenery so it feels relaxed.

The relaxed theme continues with the piped music playing down the corridors as you enter your room. Rooms here are a litle nicer than the Courtyard in town, large enough and with a comfortable King Size Bed.

Other in room ameneites include, a fridge for personal use, iron/ironing board, tea and coffee facilities and in room safe.

Lovely Ergonomic chair to sit in, so very handy for Business users as work area is rather large with the standard internet connections present.

LCD TV in the room with the usual mixture of English/German/Italian and Spanish channels.

Cleanliness again as per the Courtyard in town was immaculate, every nook and cranny was cleaned and no dust at all.

MInor bad points are the lack of a bath in the bathroom as its shower only and the stingy volume of toiletries left in the room.

The other main problem, which light sleepers may find, is not the noise of the Airport and aircraft landing, that to be fair didn't bother me and the windows were quite well soundproofed. What did bother me was the piped music which was playing in the corridors. I did ask the reception to turn this down which they did but it was audiable from within the room in the middle of the night whilst asleep which is just plain silly.

Fortunately you can drown this out with the Air Conditioning system, but as I'm sure others would agree this can be noisy/ or leave one with the irritated throat so decide which of the lesser of two evils you would prefer. The Air conditioning didnt bother me, but just something to bear in mind if you are sensitive to either

Restaurant was ok priced by UK standards, had a club sandwich and coke for about £7.50, but yes it is pricey by Czech standards. Other options being literaly opposite the terminals is McDonalds or any of the landside restaurants.

There is also rather handily a Billa supermarket next to the hotel to stock up on beverages which are a lot cheaper than the 24 hour shop located on the hotel premeses.

In all an okay stay, a very handy airport hotel for those with red-eye flights and I guess not too bad if you can't find anywhere in town also, as it takes about 25 mins to the old town using the 119 bus to Dejvicka metro and then Line A. Night bus 510 also runs all night by the hotel connecting town with the Airport.

Stayed here for 1 night only during a quick business trip. Its right in front of the airport, in your face as soon as you leave the arrivals, but not as easy to reach by car I suspect, the whole airport did seem to suffer with confused motorists. Since I wasnt driving it didnt effect me.
At the Hotel itself checkin was fine and the room itself a great size for any location, huge by airport standards. The cost of food and drink is high but there is a bar and restaurant nearby, even a small casino, dont forget your passport though. My work took me to the outskirts of Prague which was about a 15 mins taxiride. From there I had a quick explore of the city via the underground whgich was frequent, clean and well lit. There is a bus that stops close by the hotel to the city centre and it is cheap.
If I was staying to explore Prague I'd definitely stay in the city centre, but for a stopover the Courtyard was well priced, wonderfully big and clean. Put that in Prague city center and I'd stay!! Lastly I should add that the soundproofing is 100%, I couldn't tell I was at a major airport when I was in the room.

  • Liked — Big well soundproofed room
  • Disliked — Wish they'd build another in Prague itself

We stayed in Courtyard Prague airport hotel for one night. It seemed a really nice place: the food was good, rooms were clean and cosy. Friendly and helpfull staff. Directly connected to the airport from the second floor. Ideal for tourists waiting for their transfer flights. Really liked our stay:)

We like
The rooms that are large, modern and extremely clean
The overall comfort and quietness of the hotel
The rich breakfast
The easiness of the access (well, we are at the airport after all)

We do not like
Well, the location ,,, If you just have few hours, catch a cab and go to the city centre or you will find yourself spending your evening sitting at the McDonalds of the airport chewing cold chips and walking through empty corridors
The staff at the reception is so slow that you could have the rich breakfast mentioned above while they prepare your bill.

Just like many of the previous reviewers, we chose this hotel because of an early AM flight home. The hotel is very convenient – right down an elevated walkway from Terminal 2 (literally no more than a 100 yards). The property is very clean and well-maintained. Excellent bedding and bathroom. Great AC unit. Neat views of the airport runways, etc. There is a nice Billa grocery store, a bank, and couple of alternative restaurants right in the same building.

The front desk tried to overcharge me by 20 Euros at check-in. I am glad I had my e-mail confirmation, which they honored after a little persuasion on my part and a call on their part to Marriott central reservations.

Also be aware that the Marriott webpage quotes rates in Euros but the hotel converts your bill at their less than optimal conversion rate to Czech crowns at the time of check-out. They need to start using the Euro now that they are in the EU!

  • Liked — Very convenient and clean
  • Disliked — A little pricey and front desk staff a little curt

We stayed at the Courtyard Prague Airport hotel for two nights in September 08. The location was prefect for our late night arrival as its just 100 metres from the terminal. Saying that, there are NO planes that fly overhead. The hotel was extremely clean, staff very helpful and friendly even at 11:30pm and the hotel very quiet. Room was as we would expect from a Marriot hotel, clean and tidy. The trip to the city was easier than we anticipated. Walk across to the terminal, 100cz Krona's for a day travelcard for all modes of transport in the city. Bus trip to the tube stop takes about 20min, then its an extremely efficient metro service to the heart of Prague in less than 10min. Could not have been easier. We did a day trip to Dresden in German which was fantastic. Its about a 2hr journey and costs £25 return. Be sure to pay the extra £1 each to reserve your seat. As we didn't we got kicked off ours about 10 minutes into the journey, and by that time all the other seats in the cabins were taken. There are alot of seats in the passage of the trains, but its not ideal. Would highly recomend this hotel. I find it hard to believe that others could have experienced any thing less than we did, but some times hotels do make mistakes in placing people in rooms that are not full prepared. It happens, but i'm sure easily recified.

We stayed at the Courtyard Marriott the night before our flight for convenience. The room was moderately sized, sparkling clean, quiet, and efficiently laid-out. Temperature control was poor; we just couldn't get the room cool enough. Check-in was inefficient and very slow. The staff was not particularly welcoming. Overall, I would stay there again for the convenience of being next to the airport, but I wouldn't recommend this hotel for any other reason.

  • Liked — Great airport location, very convenient for flights
  • Disliked — airport location, purely functional
