“Not exactly what I was expecting.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 May 2014

The distance from the city centre is not a problem as the trams leave very frequently from the nearby station. The car park is large and so no problems parking. The room has a bathroom with a bathtub which was nice. The sheets are pretty awful and the towels are a bit threadbare. The breakfast is rather limited, the breads taste stale and there is little variety. The coffee from the machine is very weak, two shots of espresso in a mug and then add a bit of milk to get anything that could be called coffee. The juices are like watered down cordial. Luckily there is muesli and yoghurt. This morning I had a piece of the previous night's strudel with some yoghurt on the side which sufficed for bread and was rather nice. We ate at the restaurant the night we arrived, that was enough. The restaurant/pub down the hill near the rail crossing is a hundred times better, in fact better than any of the tourist traps in the tourist areas of Prague and much much cheaper. The hotel had lost my prepaid booking when we arrived which caused a bit of a panic but after an hour they found it with many apologies. The reception staff were helpful and friendly but so one should expect.

Room Tip: Make sure you have your booking confirmation with you when you check in.

We stayed in Hotel Michael for one night and it was very nice. When we arrived receptionist gave us all necessary information about stay and how to reach city center. Our room was on third floor and it was big enough with big bathroom. Room and bathroom were clean. Breakfast is good with quite big choice of everything. Parking is free and there is free WI-FI in whole hotel. It is bit out of center but no problem to reach it in 15 mins with tram - station is 5 mins away.

I have stayed at the Hotel Michael around 15 times now, as I do contract work for a company nearby. The hotel is clean, safe, and meet all my needs. It is not the fanciest place, it isn't in the city center, but it a good value.
The train to downtown is a 5 minute walk, I have done it many many times! The train will take you directly to the old town. Couldn't be easier.
The breakfast is decent quality and reasonable selection. A few of the staff are a little lacking on their English skills, but overall they are nice and have always taken care of me very well.

Breakfast I think was the best thing about this place. Full free breakfast- cereal, scrambled eggs, yogurt, fresh fruit (no the greatest but it was fresh), sausage, cold cuts and cheese, pastries, cereal, salad, canned fruit. If you can't find something you like, you are really picky. It had OK secure parking for our car(gate and camera to watch). The walk to take the tram into town was 5-7 min (depending on how fast you walk). I would say that is the one down thing about the hotel. The area is a little run down but there is a lot of building going on and it seems to be improving. Room was small but adequate for us and warm (it was cool outside but we did not even need to turn on the heat). Staff was friendly. Ate dinner 3 nights at the restaurant and no problems there. It takes about 20 min by tram to get into the city. Easy on and off.

Wonderful hotel, very nice staff and a secure parking for people who are travelling with their own/rented vehicle. I traveled there by car from Vienna with my wife. We were looking for a hotel with a good secure parking as lot of people had scared us for car theft in Prague. Hotel is nicely maintained. Situated in a suburb of Prague, you will have to take Tram to reach city center which is around 20 minutes by Tram. They also have a cab pick up at a fairly reasonable rate.

We've stayed 2 nights in Michael Hotel. It offered everything we were looking for: clean rooms, friendly service, good breakfast, free parking. It is 10-15 minutes walk to the tram stop, and trams to the central Prague run every 7-10 minutes. You can buy tram tickets at reception. If anything else to desire, I would like to have air conditioner and tea/coffee-maker in the room. The restaurant downstairs works till 9.30 pm and provides decent food and good value.

Medium-sized hotel with a pleasant exterior, entrance and restaurant. I like the chillout and classical music in restaurant, I was feeling very relaxed. Parking lot is right in front of the hotel and it is free of charge. You can borrow a luggage cart at the reception desk, or ask receptionist for help with your baggage. Nice room and bathroom interior. It is located in the airport neighborhood - you will hear some aircraft noise when your windows will be open, but nothing to be worried about. Don't expect beautiful view from your room, maybe on the opposite side it is better. We had a family suite. It is not possible to lock the door to prevent children opening it - even If you lock it, it is still possible to open it from inside. What I really don't like on this hotel were issues with cleaning. Our room was not cleaned for 3 days - we need to take out the trash for ourselves. We have found a bag with trash at the parking lot, so probably it was not only our issue. We even need to buy the trash bag! We have asked for it, but they told us that they don't have any. "Daily menu" in restaurant was the same every day for 5 days, with only 2 options. You don't expect something like this in a 4* hotel. But we really enjoyed the meals, breakfast was very good and tasty. So my final conclusion: For 2 days stay, I will definitely recommend this hotel. But for a longer stay, I am not sure.
