My wife and I chose the Residence Agnes after reading the large number of very positive reviews on Tripadviser. We can confirm that they are not wrong. The staff are so helpful and want to make sure that you have all the information you need on the best tourists sites to visit together with the best restaurants to dine at. They even offer to drive you free of charge to the main sightseeing locations.
When you return back to the hotel you are offered free coffee, tea, beer, wine etc., today we had some special Christmas cakes. The buffet breakfast provides an excellent start to the day. The Agnes does not serve lunch or dinner but this is no problem with the choice of excellent restaurants nearby.
If you want to stay somewhere different that offers really personal service by staff who are interested in helping you then this is the place for you. During your visit to Prague do not miss the Christmas market, Prague Castle, the Jewish cemetery, and St Agnes Convent for some amazing jewellery, and religious wood carvings and pictures from the 9th century.

One of the best hotels that we both have ever stayed in. Modern clean and comfortable rooms with an in room minibar and excellent strong shower. Location very close to the all the attractions with just a short walk to the Jewish quarter and main square. What put this hotel into a different class is the service. The team at the hotel make everyone feel welcome from the moment you arrive to the moment you return to Prague airport. Rather than go over what other guests have said the hotel staff made our stay including my mother in law (a 60th birthday treat) have a fantastic experience for our first ever trip to Prague.

Room Tip: all rooms seem ok

Just returned from Hotel Residence Agnes where every guest is treated like a VIP from the moment you arrive until you leave. In fact, even before we arrived the hotel were emailing me to ask if we needed a taxi from the airport to the hotel or any other help with anything.

On arrival we were greeted with complimentary coffee and tea, a very warm welcome and given lots of advice in terms of what to visit, where to eat etc. Frank, who owns the hotel, offered to drive us to the castle and then, when he found he was double booked to take another family, he insisted on paying for a taxi to take us - I've never known such amazing service.

The hotel is spotlessly clean and beautifully kept. The downstairs reception area is an old monastery cobbled courtyard and had a huge chandelier hanging from the ceiling - it is absolutely stunning. We had a lovely room with a huge Queen size bed and fresh flowers on the dressing table.

Whenever you come into reception, or when you come back from an outing you are greeted with offers of tea, coffee, wine, beer - all of which are complimentary and always served with a smile.

Breakfast is fantastic - such a wide choice of food that all tastes are catered for.

Hotel Residence Agnes is a real gem in the heart of Prague - just a 10 minute walk from the Old Town Square and close to lots of restaurants and bars. I can't wait for my next trip to Prague so that I can stay there again.

From the minute you walk through the door until you leave the Hotel owners and staff give you the VIP experience. We were welcomed as if we were old friends with a complimentary drink. As we had arrived earlier than check-in, our luggage was taken care of and taken up to our room for us when the room was ready. All the staff spoke English and were knowledgeable on the history of their beautiful city and local attractions and restaurants. We were looked after with considerable care - restaurants recommended were first class and reservations were made for us. Taxis were organised if Frank was not free to give you a lift. Boarding passes were printed without any problem whatsoever and free of charge.

The rooms are what you would expect of a 5 star hotel, all furnishings are top class and just add to the overall experience. Beds are large and comfortable and a good nights sleep will be had by all. The showers are to die for and you have a plentiful supply of hot water whatever the time.

Staff - you are welcomed each morning by the owner and his staff. Not at any given time were you welcomed without a smile a friendly "Hello" and an expectation to help you. Many could learn from the customer service on offer at Residence Agnes.

The breakfast is a buffet style affair, but this does not give justice to the wide variety and selection on offer to you; encompassing both English, American and European tastes. You will find yourself going back for seconds and thirds just because you can and because of the choice.

Beverages were available both hot and cold/alcoholic or non as soon as you arrived back through the door, which really made the hotel feel a home from home whilst travelling and enjoying the city.

The location is great being 10 minutes on foot from the main buzz of the city, but far enough away to enjoy a quiet location and a good nights sleep.

Anyone considering this hotel should do so without any hesitation - you really won't regret it.

Room Tip: We had room 201, which is just up the stairs.
