“Too good to share!”
Reviewed 10 January 2014

Not having visited Prague before I spent a number of hours researching places to stay on line before choosing Residence Agnes for its family orientated ethos. Glad I took the time - what a gem! My husband, daughter (6 years) and I arrived early in the day, were greeted at the airport and given complimentary transfer to the hotel. The room was made ready for us by 1030 even though check in wasn't until much later in the day so that we could rest before visiting the Xmas markets. Rooms clean, tidy, and spacious enough, the beds were extremely comfortable and my daughter who never sleeps well slept extremely soundly each night on the sofa bed provided. The hotel throughout has an understated style which we liked. Breakfast was buffet style which suited us well, there was plenty of choice, plenty of it and it was all delicious. The staff were
friendly, pleasant and helpful suggesting places we might like to visit, booking tickets and taking us there. It does indeed have a family feel to it and the staff were very understanding and good with our over exuberant 6 year old. Complementary drinks were provided whenever we wanted (my only small moan is that unusually for a hotel there was no food available in the evenings which on this occaision did not matter as we ate out at the Xmas markets but normally would be good with a young child when you might not always want to book a restaurant)

Thank you for a wonderful stay we look forward to returning hopefully in the near future.

Clean, good sized, quiet rooms, comfortable beds. Excellent breakfast. Great location in the Old Town, which means you can walk pretty much everywhere, including Mala Strana and the New Town(Nove Mesto), as well as the main rail station and Florenc bus station. But it is the outstanding service provided by the friendly staff and very much "hands-on" owner Frank, from even before you arrive until when you leave, that makes staying at this hotel such a memorable experience. It seems no effort is spared to ensure guests have a smooth and pleasant stay.

It is almost a disservice to the Residence Agnes staff to say that they took care of us. From splendid rooms to luxurious breakfasts and pleasant late afternoon drinks, we were treated as the most important guests in the entire city. After arriving early morning, we were invited to take breakfast even though we weren’t scheduled to check in until later that day. The staff showed us to a table, helped us plan our day out, and then provided a free taxi ride to the castle district. First, though, we enjoyed a scrumptious breakfast of fresh, delicious hot and cold foods.

Throughout our stay, Magdalena and the rest of the staff recommended restaurants and arranged for tour and show tickets (in this case, for the Reduta jazz club and the Klementinium).

Finally, we departed on the early morning train to Vienna—much earlier than breakfast was served. Still, we were provided a sack of sandwiches, cakes, and drinks to take with us, along with a hotel-provided taxi to the train station. What a treat! We cannot recommend the Residence Agnes highly enough.

By the way, the hotel is not in the very heart of the Prague tourist area. It is quite close to the interesting Jewish district. We walked down to the main tourist area several times without problem. Don’t let the the location sway you—the staff here is the best!

The hotel is very calm, quiet and charming. The big difference is all about the staff and it's owner, who made us fell at home all the time. They are very kind and lovely, helping with anything you may need. There is wine and hot drinks at the lobby, flowers and surprises amenities at the room... Everything is about the clients feeling welcome... Also, the breakfast is included and it is very complete and tasty! Certainly I recommend...

Its always the small things that makes a stay memorable, this team of staff have it like a well oiled machine, from warm mulled wine to a delightfully presented breakfast buffet and free hotel shuttle.the rooms are spacious and well appointed, we stayed in a deluxe and had a pretty aspect over some of pragues old buildings with plenty of natural night.
Great value, magnicificant service from Magdalena and Martin.
A must stay in prague!!!

I travel extensively for work and have stayed at a number of five star hotels. Residence Agens has to be one of the finest hotels I have stayed in.

The service is the best I have ever received. From the amazing check-in and the personal care and attention to the complimentary drinks and even airport transfers. It seems like nothing is too much to ask.

The location is brilliant! Within easy walking distance of the Charles Bridge and Old Town.

The room was large, light and the bed very comfortable. It is in a side-street so the hotel is very quiet.

I genuinely cannot wait to return!!

Thanks to Frank and hos amazing team!!
