Stayed for 3 nights and found it really big and comfortable for two.
Check-in: Just a bit inconvenient to find the reception, yet once you know the way it's not a big hassle.

Apartment: The apartment is really big - a big sitting room, a big bed room, nice bathroom and good kitchen. Me and my partner enjoyed very much with the facilities.

Location: Though the location is not on main street, the building is quiet, and in fact just a few steps to get to the tram way. But a bit far from the Metro.

Service: Good. Reception is helpful and good attitude. Cleaning is also good. Very Satisfied!

Believe the reviews for Residence Karolina and the "Prague City Apartments" staff which manages them: they're quite true. It's a perfect choice for a stay longer than a few nights: we made #53 our home base for three weeks and it was exactly the right choice. The apartment building is well-maintained, with twice-weekly housekeeping on days of your choice. The apartment descriptions on the website are accurate, and include floorplans and photos which are quite helpful, as is the live chat with staffers who will help you make a selection if you're unsure. The kitchen in our unit was basic but fully functional, and we saved money by eating many breakfasts and several dinners in the unit (and it enabled us to tuck in for a day when it was stormy outside and we weren't feeling well). There are two small groceries within feet of the front door for staples, and a larger Tesco just a few blocks away. The fabulous Jan Paukert deli around the corner became our favorite shop in Prague, we often stopped there to buy a few of their famous open-faced sandwiches or cakes to take back to Karolina. The rental agency staff was helpful and always available, the location is near attractions and trams, and by the end of a couple weeks it felt like home, in a great city.

A few oddities about the apartment which weren't quite enough to cause me to mark it down:
-- When you remove your keycard to turn out the lights upon leaving, you also turn off all electricity except for that to the fridge, heat, and wifi router, so the clocks on the appliances are reset each time you leave the apartment (always flashing 12:00, sigh). What's up with that??
-- The TV selections were mostly useless for English-speakers. The satellite seemed to offer a plethora of German and Arabic channels, but almost nothing in English. The straight TV reception for local Czech Nova television was grainy at best.
-- There were a few amenities missing from the apartment which would have been useful, such as a full-sized broom or vacuum (there was a hand broom for spills), small sized bowls (the only bowls were huge soup bowls), a more generously-sized fry pan, or large beverage glasses (which were brought to us after we asked for some). These were really only minor inconveniences, though, and I only mention their absence as a way of saying the things missing were quite trivial.

We fully enjoyed our stay at Residence Karolina and would unquestionably recommend it to a friend.

My husband and I stayed at Karolina Residence from Oct. 3rd thru Oct 10th. This was our first trip to Prague. The apartment (#52) was perfect. It is large, extremely clean, wonderful views of the city and the castle. Our transfer picked us up from the airport and took us directly to the Prague-city-apartment rental office. The check-in process only took about 10 minutes . Our taxi driver waited outside and took us to the apartment which is only a few blocks away. The apartment looks exactly like the photos, nicely decorated with IKEA type furniture which looked new. We used KingWenceslas.co.uk to book our apartment. They were very prompt at answering questions and handled everything beautifully. The location is perfect. A few minutes walk to Old Town and the clock and Charles Bridge. We loved Prague and will stay at Karolina Residence again. There is also a great little Afgan restaurant around the corner called Kabul. Very small, terrific food and very nice people.

This summer we visited Prague for the first time and chose to stay at Residence Karolina after reading reviews on TripAdvisor. It's so hard to know what to look for when you are unfamiliar with an area, but we were thrilled with our choice - the location in Old Town was convenient to everything, yet was quiet enough to be an escape from the crowds in Old Town Square. We had a spacious 2-bedrooom apartment (#23) with a cute balcony overlooking the street, a state of the art kitchen, washer/dryer, free wireless internet....it was exactly what we were looking for. There was a Tesco supermarket a few blocks away, and plenty of restaurants and other shops nearby. In fact, it was so conveniently located that we did not really use the metro or tram system, even though stops for those were also nearby. We enjoyed walking everywhere, including Old Town Square, the Castle, Mala Strana, Nove Mesto, and Wenceslas Square. Our family of four had a very comfortable stay in this self-service apartment (concierge was a block away, but that was no problem) and we would definitely stay here again the next time we are in Prague.

The two bedroom apartment we rented was very nicely furnished and quite spacious. Its location could not be more central, with easy walking access to the city center and only two block sfrom the Charles bridge. When we walked into the apartment for the first time, all we could say was "Wow!" We were very pleased with our stay and highly recommend it to others.

Equally as impressive was the assistance received from Prague City Apartment staff. They helped with everything from airport transportation to tours.

Prague CIty Apartments is a rental agency for apartments in Prague. They have numerous properties and their availability about 60 days out was good. The checkin process was seamless, they were responsive to my questions AND the unit (Residence Karolina # 53) was exactly as described and pictured on their website. The last thing, the accurate description of the property, was a key element of our positive experience. So often, the reality and the pictures are so dramatically different, you wonder where the pictures were taken. Not in this case. After this experience, I would not hesitate to rent from this agency in the future.
