“Good choice”
Reviewed 13 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

We had a nice stay in a beautiful apartment with a awesome view over the river and the old town. Gino is one from the heart, he takes care for everything. Indeed a good recommendation.

“Fabulous apartment in great location”

We had a wonderful short week in this well situated, very good sized, light and airy and well appointed apartment. Gino answered every question we had and provided lots of useful tips to help our stay to be extra special; communication could not have been better! We were met and shown around the apartment, which has everything for a chilled stay in a bustling city. We were lucky to have excellent weather for our stayed and thoroughly enjoyed breakfast and drinks on the balcony: quite a treat!

We really enjoyed being on the west of the river; we found it less commercialised with more opportunities to get off the main tourist drags. The area is very quiet, even during the day and there is a 10 pm noise curfew, which was great for us. There are plenty of local shops for food and drink etc - you don't have to go to the Tesco a couple of blocks behind the apartment. top of our 'to do' list if we were to return would be breakfast/coffee/lunch at Cafe Lounge about 10 minutes stroll away. They serve the best coffee in the world and their food is beautifully presented and tastes delicious. There is a small patisserie and coffee shop, also no more than 10 minutes away in the other direction, which makes its own scrummy cakes.

On the same road as Cafe Lounge (Plaska) is Art and Food and we enjoyed very good food and wine there and is well worth a visit. we would aslo highly recommend U Kroka, on the other side of the river and heading down river about 15 minutes. It's slightly off the beaten track but really worth finding. Great wine list, super tasting and well prepared food in a really comfortable atmosphere. Our waiter could not have been more helpful, pleasant or passionate when explaining where the food and wines were sourced from. Lots of locals ate here . . always a good recommendation!

There are lovely walks through the parks nearby where the tourists all but disappear as soon as you go through the gates. Take a picnic and a rug and watch the world go by . . .from a lofty distance.

We rarely re-visit a place but if we did we would definitely opt to stay at Gino's apartment again and enjoy the more chilled side of the river once again.

“Best view in Prague, beautiful apartment and great service.”

We stayed at this apartment for 4 nights in August 2015. Smooth booking process, owners were very responsive, place was recently refurbished, clean and very conveniently located. Away from all the hustle and bustle of tourist crowded Old Town but close enough to walk to most sights. Metro and tram nearby. We were in Prague during a heatwave and though extremely hot outside, being an old building it was very pleasant inside. At night we opened back windows facing a quiet courtyard. We also enjoyed a drink or two on the balcony out the front with the most gorgeous view. Would recommend and stay here again.

“Great location, view, and host”
Reviewed 26 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Best things: the view from the balcony, the size of rooms and layout (each bedroom has access to kitchen and bathrooms without disturbing people in living room or other bedroom), the location (1 mile walk or 3 blocks to tram to get to Prague Castle, Old Town; New Town is just across the river, just walk). Tesco grocery store is around the corner, 2 blocks from the apartment and the apartment kitchen is well equipped (pots and pans need a little repair, not enough lids for pots, but we cooked many meals making do nicely with what Gino provides).

Worst things: the noise. Noisy street right below the balcony, but really, you're in downtown Prague, there's going to be some noise, we were just not expecting it and we are from a small, quiet town. We would stay at this place again in spite of the noise.

Dear guest, we are very pleased to hear you had such a great stay. Our location really is second to none. Right in the middle of the city, within walking distance to all major sights yet in a quiet residential neighborhood. Unlike in Old Town, you won't get thousands of screaming tourist right underneath your window, which can be very noisy at all times of the day and night. The back rooms are facing a quiet private courtyard which most of our guests love for its tranquility and peace, you can sleep with windows open undisturbed. Out the front, the amazing view you get from the balcony is unlike anywhere else in Prague, being 180degrees, ambient city noise is present everywhere in the centre. Of course you will hear some noise if you go on the balcony, but it is the same anywhere in a large city.

“Beautiful apartment in a fantastic location”

The luxury riverside apartment met our expectations. It is in an old building right by the river, the timber floors, high ceilings and beatiful old doors give the apartment a lot of character. It is very spacious with a large living area and large separate kitchen. The apartment is very well equipped, we really appreciated the washer/dryer - perhaps one thing which could be added is a coffee machine or cafetiere.
The only negative is that the bed in the main bedroom is not comfortable (the second bed is great). Apart from that all of the furniture and fittings were great.
The location is very good - a short walk to the tram stop, and to Tescos for provisions, and a longer but very pleasant walk to all the main sights including Charles Bridge and the Prague Castle.
I would recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a comfortable apartment in a peaceful location with a beautiful view.

This is a beautiful, well-maintained apartment located across the river from Prague center. It is within a healthy walk from the city, or easy tram ride. The tram stops about 4 blocks from the apartment. We were well taken care of by Karel and had a great time in Prague, a friendly and lovely city. The apartment is large with 2 spacious bedrooms and a small balcony looking toward the river and Prague. Everything is as promised in the description.

“A magical and memorable stay”

This elegant apartment is wonderfully located on the river opposite the Dancing House and within sight of the spires and bridges of Prague. We stayed over New Year's Eve and the firework display visible from the private balcony was mind-blowing! The neighbourhood is quiet, but within fifteen minutes walk to Charles Bridge or Wenceslas Square. Gino could not have been more helpful and did all he could to ensure a magical and memorable stay.
