My first time in Prague with my love ...one of the most beautiful cities in the world is probably the understatement of the century; without doubt, it *is* the most beautiful city I have ever visited . and spending only 1 night in this beauty...but i'm glad that we spend it in this beautifullllll enchanting hotel . The hotel located in a tiny cute little alley ,only 2 minutes walk from the old town square which gives you the nice atmosphere of being in the middle of everything. the room was so quiet with an EXCELLENT sleeping quality ... the sheets and pillows were awesome ... super comfortable specially after spending a long day city tour :) * I should steal one of those pillows :)) !! *
Great breakfast , great value for money , great in everything ....

This is a great base to explore Prague. Just behind the Old Town Square, we walked everywhere. The restaurant right next door (hotel guests get a discount) to it is worth eating at for some traditional Czech food. We ate at a couple of places and decided this was the best value and food of the lot. Room was pleasantly larger than we expected with free wired internet and friendly helpful staff. Would highly recommend this hotel as the place to stay to explore Prague especially for first time visitors. You can't beat the location.

If you want to see Prague this is the hotel for you, couldn't be better positioned. As for everything else, well it's pretty average, breakfast wasn't good, rooms are clean and a good size. Biggest problem for me was car parking, I ended up about half a mile in a very expensive car park. Oh and close your windows at night, a bell chimes every hour in the square.

It was a great find. Thanks Tripadvisor. Great value for money, 2 minutes walk from old town square. Adequate room and ok breakfast, GREAT value for money. The staff was courteous and helpful.

Room Tip: Try to get a room with the view of the old clock tower.

We stayed here after finishing a group tour that used the Dorint Don Giovanni (don't stay there). The Hotel DAR is in a beautifully restored building. It is one block from Old Town Square so we could walk everywhere. The rooms are small, but well-furnished and really clean, including the bathroom. We had plug-in internet (they provided connecting cord) that always worked. The breakfast was very good. The only problem we had was no airconditioning. Our small room on the top floor had one small window that faced west. It got really hot even with the provided fan. But we could see the clock tower and the bugler. Next time we'd ask for a room that faced east. They have a restaurant that gives a 10% discount to hotel guests.

Room Tip: It has three floors. Ask for a room on floor 1 or 2 with several windows or a 3rd floor room that faces east.
