The restaurant is on the bustling main road by Wencesles Square. We read the good reviews about the restaurant and cave so we decided to try it out. It was a lovely restaurant and although the cave setting is not real (obviously), it was a rare experience that was lovely.
When we entered the restaurant, we were probably the youngest couple there by about 30 years. It was very very quiet, so quiet that my girlfriend actually started whispering to me. It was lacking in atmosphere and everyone was so intent on being quiet and eating that it actually made us feel awkward to have a conversation.
The service was great, and we would like to thank the waiters very for attending to our needs as my girlfriend has strict dietary requirements (although it took a bit of explaining!). The food was delicious and was rounded of with some beer and wine.
Overall it was a lovely restaurant that serves delicious food but really lacks atmosphere. If you are a young couple looking for somewhere a bit more lively, I would look elsewhere. But if you are looking for a quiet romantic meal, this restaurant really is perfect.
