Nice and comfortable hotel. Not too far from old town in a quiet place.

I have stayed in this hotel already maybe for almost 10 times.
- very quiet
- clean, modern, comfortable
- close to the airport
- helpful staff
- free parking
But
- 15 minutes by taxi to the down town
- not easy to find
- only an average breakfast
- no restaurant

My husband and I booked the Hotel Silenzio in Prague for our wedding anniversary for four nights. We can't say enough fantastic things about the place. First, it was in the exact location we wanted - not amidst the hustle and bustle of the tourist area, but in a quiet, residential area of Prague. We researched its location well before getting there because we had read previously that it was hard to find. So, because of our research and Google mapping, we found it with no problem. The staff was very pleasant, especially a young blonde girl behind the desk whom we saw in the mornings and during the daytime. She was extremely helpful and booked different tours for us as well. The breakfast buffet was not not lavish, but certainly enough to keep us going throughout the morning. The rooms had enough space, and we liked the idea that they had in-room safes that accommodated laptops. Even in the height of the tourist season, this place was a lovely, peaceful gem tucked away in Prague. My husband and I loved coming back to the hotel after a long day spent galavanting... we would sit on the front porch and each enjoy a fresh Pilsner in the quiet night. My only issues were the fact that the two twin beds had to be pushed together to make into one, and the shower had no curtain, so the water splashed all over the bathroom floor. However, I have found that those features are quite typical of European hotel accommodations. Other than that, we would HIGHLY reccommend the Hotel Silenzio in Prague to anyone who wants to visit this beautiful city!

The Silenzio Hotel is only about a year old, set in a quiet part of town, a ten minute walk from the subway (and about an eight minute walk from the nearest streetcar stop). Our room was very clean, nicely decorated, and spacious for a European hotel. The bed was large and comfortable, storage space was excellent, and the bath was well-designed. We were very comfortable there.

The breakfast buffet was nice, with a good selection of items, but not as extensive a selection as one would find in a larger hotel. We found it quite satisfying.

The staff all seem to speak English well and are very friendly.

The quiet location of the hotel was very nice and peaceful, but it did mean that restaurants generally were at least a ten-minute walk away. The nearest subway stop is at the end of one of the three subway lines and provides very easy access to tourist areas. Since the subway is supplemented with a significant streetcar/tram network, navigating through the city was very simple (an all-day ticket is 100 Czech Kroner, about $5.00), so found Silenzio's nearly suburban location to be no problem.

Older visitors may prefer to take a cab from the subway station to the hotel (about 100 Czech Kroner, or about $5.00), as the walk is uphill.

If you walk between the hotel and the subway station, ask the staff to show you the pathways to use; it make the walk much shorter than following the directions for cars.
