This restaurant is incredible. The food is well-priced and delicious, the smoothies and fresh juices are wonderfully refreshing, and the terrace has a lovely atmosphere. This café-restaurant defines perfection, and brings out the best of Prague.

“Wonderful classical Coffeehouse”
Reviewed 30 June 2014 via mobile

A wonderful, old-fashioned coffeehouse, like you can only find in places like Budapest or Vienna. Tasty cakes, the chocolate cake is massive (in size and taste).

“Food came out cold and overcooked”
Reviewed 29 June 2014 via mobile

Lovely restaurant with great charm with an interesting tilting fountain in the restaurant antechamber. Plenty of history and atmosphere at this place. Waiters were nice and service was good.

However for the prices paid, which are on the mid-high to high side for Prague, the food left a lot to be desired. Had the pork curry and the goulash and both came out cold with the meat tough and overcooked. The curry sauce was decent in terms of flavor but the goulash sauce was bland.

Would not go back again.

“Returning and returning”
Reviewed 27 June 2014

My wife and I are returning to this café/restaurant about ten times a year for the following reasons: One of the best espressos in Prague, very reasonable prices, the food is always excellent, ice cream, and dessert of a first-class quality and extremely friendly, professional and effective staff. I hope that this is understood as a high recommendation fro this restaurants where some of the waiters are there for 15 years. And this also says something.

“Dine With Kafka and Einstein in Prague”
Reviewed 26 June 2014

Well, maybe with their ghosts....but they did frequent this attractive, light-filled old restaurant upstairs in an old building in Prague. We had lunch - the salmon tartar was delicious. But I wish I had time to return for breakfast or an afternoon dessert and espresso.

The desserts looked absolutely delicious - cakes with chocolate, whipped cream, tarts with fresh fruit - yum!

A wonderful place to sit, converse, read, think....excellent food and service - with memories of Prague of yesteryear.
