Very cozy restaurant, nice light, good food and service. We'll be back. It's both for smokers and non smokers.

After enjoying a lot of Czech food, we were craving for vegetables, so we decided to go with a French restaurant. We weren't disappointed, the food was great, very friendly staff, quiet atmosphere, and reasonable prices (although slightly higher than your typical Czech restaurant).

No doubt, Prague is one of the most beautiful cities in the world where lovers of classical music will find daily more than they can attend. However, a gourmet will need good glasses to find delicate dishes as most reestaurants offer exclusively Czech food: piglegs, fat goose, dumplings (no not the delicate Cantonese but the indigestible German type). An exception is the UNIVERSAL, just two streets away from the National theatre (at the Moldau River). A simple but attractive place but offering the best carpaccio I've ever eaten and excellent beaf cooked the way one wishes. Decent prices. Excellent quality.

It was great! food was one of the best we ever had. we had each a three course meal, figs with gorgonzola, king prawns, duck breast, steak with foie gras was sooo good! and for dessert we had creme brulee and 12 minute chocolate cake, which was fondant...all very, very good. It was just little bit busy around 9 , then service was bit poorer, but fine, I know they been doing their best...

Faultless service, delicious, good quality food at a very reasonable price.

I had the best steak tenderloin I've had in a long time, cooked exactly as I liked it. The restaurant is quite noisy, but the atmosphere was really good so it was fine, everybody seemed to be enjoying themselves. The service was really very good, the waitress remembered our entire order which was pretty impressive, as we made it quite complex! The only slight downside was our dessert, which was just not as good as the starters or mains, it didn't matter to us so much because the rest of the experience was so enjoyable.

I will definitely be coming back here to eat, and will recommend to friends.
