This unit was a pleasant surprise at the price. While Telc could easily be a two hour stay we chose to have a travel break in this quiet little town. The staff was LOVELY. I don't mean nice. I mean wonderful and that is despite neither of us spoke each other's language.

The unit is a roomy one-bedroom apartment with a futon. A real kitchen and dining room table gave us plenty of room to spread out and make sandwiches and tea. Wifi was a little weak but if you kept the front hall door open it was resolved

The breakfast was great and I recommend the pastry. Major coupe? Coffee was great!

We travelled with group of friends and we really enjoyed our stay in Telc. Pension Galerie is a really beautiful place with stylish, comfortable and clean apartments, nice café bar and friendly staff. The location is also very good, in a narrow street leading to the main square.

We were accommodated in the apartment No. 4 (up in the attic with a bedroom and a kitchen) and our friends in the suite No. 3 (so called “bridal suite”, without a kitchen but with a whirpool tube in a spacious bathroom) and in the apartment No. 2 (probably the largest apartment with a bedroom and a huge living room with a kitchen unit). All apartments are spacious with stylish furniture (incl. comfortable beds, huge wardrobes, LCD TV and working desks and chairs), nice bathrooms and free wi-fi connection.

I would recommend you to visit Telc with its picturesque square and a beautiful chateau, many good café bars and restaurants. It is a really beautiful little town. It was already our second visit in Telc and probably not the last one :-).

Penzion Galerie, is about 50 metres from the famous square. It is one of these old, sgrafittied houses which has been renovated inside to provide studio apartments with kitchen facilities. We were up in the attic (room #5) which had dormer windows and a view of the square (if you poked yourself precariously out of the window.) The room is reached by rather steep, narrow stairs so heavy luggage is a problem! Once there, though, it is lovely - large, light-filled and furnished with taste. There is a fully equipped kitchen corner, TV (no English channels), good WiFi connection, hair dryer, bedside lamps and a separate sparkling bathroom with a non-slip bath with shower over the bath.
Breakfast was buffet style and fresh. A most gracious and smiling lady fussed over us and brought fresh coffee etc.
Parking is in the square itself. You pay a 500 kroner deposit and get a big pink authorisation to park slip to put on the dashboard of the car. This deposit is returned at the end of your stay.
A really comfy and welcoming place. Communication was a tad difficult seeing that our Czech is minimal to the extreme and the staff member who spoke English was not there on our departure. Thank God for hands! We ended up with a big hug. What do you need verbal language for????????

Rooms are actually 60 sq m apartments. Everything is immaculate. There is a trendy bar downstairs where to take drinks. Central plaza is 50 m away.

This is a decent hotel in a town that doesn't have too many hotel options, but it's a wonderful town to stay in, if you have the opportunity.

It took us a bit to figure out how to get into the historic center of Telc, and then a few minutes to find Hotel Telc (it's to the left of Restaurant U Zachariaste, as you face that restaurant, on the opposite side of the square from the chateau). But once we found it, hotel staff provided a very detailed map of tiny Telc. The parking is actually in the square, about 50 feet from the hotel door; they'll give you a parking permit to place in your car.

The property is a bit dated, but clean. The furniture in our room was like bad seventies furniture, but it was well-kept and sturdy. The lighting was most unusual - the lights on the walls looked like ceiling fixtures placed on their sides. But definitely, we had plenty of light! Our room was a bit musty-smelling, but once we opened the windows, it was fine. The size was good; the third bed was actually a sofa made up as a bed. The double bed had delightful featherbeds (also known as duvets).

The bathroom was sizeable and clean. The tub had a shower attachment. A blow-dryer was NOT provided.

There was a mini-fridge, which was nice, and for the first time that I've ever seen, there were two complimentary (free) bottles of mineral water, and two beers. Very nice!
