“Absolutely Wonderful!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 July 2013

My wife and I stayed in the Hotel Arte on an anniversary trip to Brno and it was a perfect experience. The hotel is lovely, and the room we stayed in was enormous, nicely decorated, and very comfortable altogether.

The staff are friendly and obliging. I contacted the hotel before the trip to arrange a nice treat for the anniversary day itself, and Eve, who I spoke to was very helpful and willing to arrange something custom and special. When we arrived she was entirely discreet to keep it a surprise, but found a moment to speak with me to finalise the details, and make sure it all went to plan.

The hotel is about 15 minutes walk from the old town centre, close to the popular Villa Tugendhat, and in a nice neighbourhood with a great park right adjacent.

Can't recommend this hotel highly enough. Stop browsing listings and just stay here.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 104 - enormous and plush!

we enjoyed our stay mainly because the staff were exceptionally helpful and hospitable. The hotel is very convenient for the visit of the Villa Tugenhadt, but the centre is very close, 10 minute walking

ask for an airconditioned room on very hot days

Room Tip: ask for a room with air-conditioning ask for a room facing the back

Like Will from Calgary below, we too were upgraded to Room 001 and what a fantastic room it is. The long internal corridor leads to a spacious room with wall mounted big screen TV, a kingsize bed, remote controlled air conditioning and a wine fridge. We were also provided with a large travel cot for our little girl. Absolutely what we needed in the oppressive heat.

The bathroom is frankly huge with a large shower and a separate corner bath which is capable of fitting two! There's even a small TV above the bath although when we tried it the reception wasn't great. The decor in the bathroom is very pleasing on the eye, as is the room as a whole.

The front office manager spoke perfect English and was extremely helpful providing us with maps of Brno and Moravia (in the event that we wanted to go exploring outside the city). She also ordered us the taxi to the airport the following day and was very nice to our daughter. Top marks.

The breakfast was excellent - the scrambled eggs were a particular treat, being yellow and a little runny rather than the usual tough white affair. There was also an excellent range of cold meats, cheese, fruits and cereal. My wife had muesli and said that it was very tasty. The coffee left a little to be desired but that was a very minor niggle.

In terms of location, the hotel is a pleasant 20-30 minutes walk from the town centre but is also near a lovely looking park which looks perfect for a stroll.

I would not hesitate in recommending Hotel Arte to anyone visiting Brno - it cannot be faulted in terms of service, comfort or location.

We stayed for 1 night, and were upgraded to the suite room. Fabulous, huge room, with 2 person jetted tub plus huge walk-in shower. Great breakfast as well.

We loved the location, as we could walk to see the Villa Tugendat, and you can get a discount at the hotel if you are going to Vila Tugendat. I highly recommend that placeas an attraction to see in Brno.

The hotel let us have a parking space on the street right in front of the door.

So, excellent service, staff that spoke english well, and fabulous room - can't beat that!

Room Tip: Ask for room 1 if possible - right near front door, and has a lot of extras.

Loved this charming and quaint boutique hotel in Brno! Spotlessly clean, everywhere gleamed! Very trendy en-suites in bold colours and elegant glass basins. The Front Office Managers were all brilliant, fluent in English, extremely polite and helpful. One of them actually studied in England for 2 years and had a perfect English accent too!! Everyone was very friendly and efficient. We visited some local restaurants nearby which were fantastic - namely 'Satyam' Indian cuisine that was so authentic you felt you were in India. Another was an Italian Restaurant - 'Rialto' superb meal reasonably priced. I definitely recommend the Arte Hotel for anyone staying over in Brno.
