Nice old building but awkwardly modernized on the inside. Rooms are OK with the basics. Few TV stations. Great night watchman who is happy to talk to you. Free WiFi only in the lobby and free cable internet in the rooms. Breakfast buffet was average with the exception of the disgusting coffee which I don't think was even coffee. It tasted more like the kind of "ersatz" coffee made out of malt that used to be drunk during the communist days. Pfui! Great vegi restaurant around the corner on Lužánecká street. Haribol. There is only one set meal for 69 Kč about 3.5 €, you can speak English there and also pay in €.

Hotel Europa has large rooms and the staff at the front desk try their best to help. A few staff speak English so communication was not a problem.
Rooms are well appointed but if you are going during summer insist they tell you if the airconditioning is working. They weren't for the first 2 days we were there and it was awful to the point we were going to go to another hotel. Then they worked. Just make sure before you go otherwise you will suffer in the heat.
The breakfasts were excellent and very substantial, eggs sausages, vegetables, cereals, yoghurts, jams, sliced meats - plenty and almost like a 4 star hotel.
Their location is 10 minutes from the Brno town square and the street has a good choice of restaurants. The internet is good and is cable not wifi. The tv is not good being only a 17 or 19 inch monitor and not a good size for such a large room.
A great stay with helpful staf, great rooms and excellent breakfasts. Recommended!!

Room Tip: If hot weather ask if airconditioner works.Check bar fridge as theyre faulty too. But room is large...

At first the hotel seems quite a distance from the centre but the walk isn't too bad for the main square and top end of the city. Tram down to centre was very busy and on our return home we decided to walk to the station (about 10-15mins) after 4 trams were full and we couldn't get on.
The hotel is in a nice old building but is very modern inside - art hotel.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Room clean and comfortable
We didn't have tea making facilities in our room but could buy from bar area.
Breakfast very good
Room clean with internet access and desk. I don't recall there being any English channels on tv but we weren't there to stay in and watch tv anyway. Separate toilet and bathroom. Toiletries provided daily

I would agree with all the previous reviewers that the Europa hotel is a good choice of accommodation for a stay in Brno. We were able to walk from the rail station to the hotel ( although Google maps took us on a somewhat strange route!) and it was also an easy walk to the city centre. Staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was plentiful. Our only complaint was the air con in the room. It was quite hot when we were in Brno and we did not find the air con effective. Other than that our stay was good at a very reasonable price.

We booked 2 nights at this hotel for 35/night per person in Brno because we thought it was the closest hotel that was better than the other ones to the train station and the medical faculty campus of Masarykova University. It was only a 5 minute ride with the local tram from the Brno train station but unfortunately we were on the opposite side of town where the medical university was located.

I would have to give this hotel 5 stars overall because of the wonderful service and friendly staff that would always greet you when entering the hotel or leaving the hotel. The breakfast buffet was the only meal that was complimentary to guests and it was always fresh and delicious. There was only 1 WiFi hotspot located in the main lobby and ethernet cable found in the hotel rooms. I am an American and I would have to say the bathrooms were very awkward. Call me crazy but how do you take a shower without shower curtains and without spraying water all over the place? Anyways, the rooms were very clean and the old European style windows were very large so a lot of fresh cool air would circulate around the room at night. The hotel is located in the old part of Brno with a lot of historic buildings and very good restaurants around the area. If anyone would want to visit Brno, I highly recommend booking at this hotel. It was an amazing experience.

Great hotel, great location, strongly recommended to stay there when visiting Brno! They provide much more then 3*** service for very reasonable money. The design is not my favorite but it's a personal taste question.
Very clean, very comfortable, good breakfast, free internet, free parking in front of the hotel.
