It looks so easy to find from the train station...it is once you know where it is. And it's down a road with a blinking neon lady sign. With somewhat scruffy locals hanging around, enough to make a girl somewhat cautious. That said, once located, it was entirely convenient for the station and the service was friendly. They really tried to be very helpful, from ensuring I found my room (and friend) and having breakfast available half an hour before the 'official' availability times. The room itself was very modern, and super squeaky clean with a balcony. It all looked hyper new. Water, wifi, sweets were in the room (though no toiletries to squirrel away if that's your boon ;)). In the morning, we barely had table peeking through with the amount of breakfast on it and there was considerable choice, including fresh fruit and berries, pastries and offers of cappucinos (though don't think hyper gourmet, organic luxury etc). It's not an expensive hotel, although Brno is an extremely cheap city (judging by prices in restaurants/bars). I would recommend, although I'd take a buddy for the area :p

We stayed in this hotel after reading recommendations on it online, we were not disappointed.
the room was modern, clean and has its own closed parking.
although the neighborhood seems a bit on the spooky side the hotel was very nice and very close to the city center, only about 10 min walk.
breakfast is good and the staff is very friendly and helpful
The only minor flaw was that it did not have air condition.
so if you are looking for a hotel in brno in a season that are not - look no further

Room Tip: the right hotel for brno

VV Hotel, Brno
The hotel is conveniently positioned within walking distance of the railway station i.e. behind it. Opposite the station there is the beginning of the old town with cultural treasures, museums, with its cafes and restaurants and amazing bookshops and stylish clothes and shoe shops.
This independent family run Hotel was newly built and opened 18 months ago with WiFi, solar panel heating and flat screen TV, mixing modern stylish design with comfort, friendly approach, quick service and scrumptious continental breakfast. We had a good sleep in a comfortable bed, perfect shower, and colour coordinated space. There is a compact wellness centre on the first floor with sauna, exercise bicycles and whirlpool with subdued colour changing lighting and candles,

The view was not very romantic being post-industrial, but the street was quiet and ample parking was available at the back... The area is being developed but it is secure as there is a police station just on the corner. There is an inexpensive market place outside the back entrance to the station and a warren called mouse hole with cheap vendors and a gunshop.
There is a also standard modern shopping moll with a supermarket, the usual array of goods and any manner of fast food restaurants on the ground floor.

Room Tip: Eating in the centre is a must as we found the choice of sit-down better restaurants in the vicinity...

Stayed overnight during Noc Kostelu (June 1). Tidy spacious rooms, big breakfast offerings and ideal location. About 1250Cz/night for a single room, 1650Cz for twin-sharing, inclusive of breakfast and parking. Helpful concierge. Will surely be back. Highly-recommendable.

Room Tip: Hope to have quiet next-door neighbors:)

The hotel has only very recently been modernised giving a lovely swish feel about the hotel. The rooms are spacious and well appointed.
Breakfast was a good substantial continental style the only gripe being that the tables were a but small for two people to lay out all the breakfast.
Very convenient for the main railway station only being a 4 minute walk away.
Overall an excellent value for money hotel.
