Just opposite the main railway station, close all sightseeings and shops.
Free wifi in the lobby, good breakfast with on request prepared hot dishes.

Very central to town and public transport. Staff very helpful. Good choice at breakfast. Standard twin room was not very big for two people and ask for a room at the rear as it can be noisy at the front of the hotel. Hotel was clean
Would stay there again

We stayed at the hotel for eight nights in a standard room. The room was big and had a seperate living area with a tv and fridge. The bathroom was new and the room was kept spotlessly clean by the staff. Our little boy is only four and the staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly in recommending things to do with him and how to get there. The breakfast choices were excellent with a hot annd cold selection-served until 10.30 at the weekend which is a bonus. The hotel bar was fairly child friendly although we did have to sit in reception at times because it was a bit smoky. But this usual for the Czech Republic as heavy smoking seems to be the norm. My only reservation about the hotel is the fact it is across from bus/tram/rail station. At night there were a few odd people about, but you could avoid them by walking up the steps at the side of the hotel into the town. As we had a pushchair we didn't have this option. The other downside is the only english tv channel available is the BBC world service.

Rooms: Although the whole hotel reeks of smoke, our room was actually perfectly fine (no guarantees of other rooms though). The room itself was very large and was clean. The washroom design was a bit weird and I always got water all over the place when I showered, but that was minor. I had a room facing the train station and it is quite noisy in the evening, I would recommend getting a room that faced the back (away from the train station) if you are a light sleeper. Internet also costs money here.

Location: Right across the street from the train station so it is very convenient if you are going to be using it. The city itself is quite compact so it isn't a problem to walk to wherever in a maximum of 10-15 minutes. In the surrounding blocks there are numerous fast food (24 hour) stalls but there are not many restaurants. The hotel is on a major road so safety is not an issue.

Breakfast: Good selection, nothing out of the ordinary. We had dinner here one night and the food was quite good. The restaurant has a nice design and wasn't that expensive, would recommend.

Value: A little expensive but not horribly so. Probably wouldn't stay again unless I had to use the rail station extensively. Nothing wrong with the hotel, but there are others that are cheaper and are more central.

My husband and I stayed here while going to the Motogp. The hotel was in a great location, easy walking distance to the town centre and trams and buses just out the front door. The rooms were large and clean with good beds. We were able to walk to and from the bus drop off point which was convenient. Breakfast was fantastic with a good range of food. The internet was not free and expensive to buy around 10 euro a day. As we were already paying a premium because of the motogp we found this a bit annoying.

This was my second stay at the hotel and I would definitely recommend it and stay again. I have stayed in double rooms (very spacious) and in single rooms (a bit tighter, but very inexpensive). The reception & restaurant staff speak perfect English and are always very accommodating. The location is across from the train and bus station and offers great access to many downtown restaurants, stores, or across the street to the mall, grocery story, etc. I stayed away from the businesses next door to the hotel that didn't look so appealing- and just walked a block further to the main shopping/eating areas that lead to the square. The complimentary breakfast is good with nice variety- and you can even ask for a made to order omelette. They also have good room service food (a rarity). The lobby is not luxurious, but the rooms have been updated, with nice marble baths and have always been clean. I suggest asking in advance for a room on a non-smoking floor (if that is what you want) and if you are a light sleeper, ask for one facing the rear of the hotel. The rates are usually quite good (except when a fair is in town) - but sometimes cheaper rates are available on gtahotels.com. Otherwise, I think it is competitively priced with other similar hotels (single rooms are often cheaper). Note: free internet is in the lobby (wifi or a shared computer), otherwise you must pay for internet access in the rooms.

We were primarily concerned with location near the trains and the old city. This was the closest hotel to the train station.

The hotel was clean, breakfast was fine. It is a little old and tired in places - but we had a good night sleep, internet worked fine, free internet in lobby and a nice day in Brno.

The hotel didn't have rooms larger than 3 people when we were there. So we had to split into a 2 and a 3.

The staff was nice with good restaurant recommendations.
