The hotel rooms are fine. Beautiful painted ceilings. Internet. The decorations in the hotel include beautiful stained glass that are spectacular. Beautiful antiques; good service; excellent European style breakfast. Good location.

Just one block from the central square, this place is a small gem. The staff greets guests in a warm, friendly manner and the hotel is elegantly appointed with stained glass interiors and clean, comfy rooms. Excellent buffet breakfast and near restaurants and shops plus the main tourist sites, what more could you ask for?
This is the kind of place that makes one eschew chains!

Room Tip: Go! This is a small gem near the tourist area. Don't miss it!

The location is good. Very near to town center. The main rail station is walking distance. The rooms are old fashioned. There is a lift in the hotel but no parking. The breakfast is very good. There is a TV in room but no good English channels. The hotel has free WiFi but it is not really reliable. Staffs speak English. I stayed at this hotel for few days on a business visit. Although the hotel is nice, I would not pay that much for a personal visit.

Pleasant, centrally located hotel with valet parking. As everyone says, the staff are friendly and the rooms are comfortable and quiet. Excellent breakfast buffet.
Only possible improvements would be to widen the choice of TV programmes to include a few world channels (these show on the menu but don't actually play) and to provide tea/coffee facilities in the rooms.
The eccentric tag mainly applies to the decor - it's Bohemian in the original sense and you wonder what the artist who did the bar ceiling had been drinking. In the alley adjacent to the hotel is what appears to be a restaurant served by a model railway but I visited in the middle of a snowstorm so I didn't explore further. The decor is not over the top and adds to the overall appeal.
Not all the rooms are accessible to wheelchair users and it would be a good idea to check before arriving if you need this.

Just off the Cabbage Market Square and a short walk from the shopping centre and the old castle, the Royal Ricc is well situated for the business traveller and tourist alike. About 3 minutes walk from the main train station.

I had a large double room on special offer via booking.com and really lucked out! Two linked twin beds, wooden pillars and beams, several desks and working areas, great bathroom with a seperate dressing area, flat screen tv and..............best yet.....a large, tiled, gas 'real flame' stove for a real romantic evening. Shame I was on my own!

Red terracotta floor tiles and tasteful drapes gave my room a real individual feel. Not like a hotel room at all, more like being at home.

Breakfast was good, typical hotel fare....big cold buffet and some cooked stuff.

Reception staff great, faultless English and very efficient.

I will definitely use the Royal Ricc aggain.

Room Tip: 401 and 402 are at the top of the hotel in the eves and have real character. 80 euros for a big room...
