This hotel is a acceptable choice for visiting Brno center as it's in the city center. It's also affordable and clean. The rooms are ok and clean but the furniture and beds are kind of old and worn-out. The mattresses seem lower quality and too soft for my taste.

Also for the rest the hotel furniture is kind of old and spartan. But functional and clean.

There is even free parking right in front of the entrance (provided that space is available).

Some people call it a retro hotel but in my view that only counts for the eastern-europe style of the reception and the large breakfast room. Including the service level of the breakfast staff (mostly not there at all and otherwise not overly friendly). The rooms are clearly updated since the communistic times. Even it's not top notch, it's clearly not comparable to communistic times (I have seen some hotels in eastern europe before the big change after glassnost, the rooms in those were quite different atmosphere).

Another thing: there is even pretty good wifi everywhere in the hotel!

Breakfast is self service and actually pretty ok and complete! Once you find out were it's all placed (bit hidden). Staff is often not there at all and sometimes neither are other guests. Which provides for a typical atmosphere.

In the summer you could enjoy breakfast outside on the terrace in the sun. Not a bad choice, watching the quiet pleasant street life in front of the hotel. You might feel like in a small French town.

Things to improve: the obvious like better furniture (especially mattresses) in the hotelrooms. Provide liquid soap and shampoo in the bathroom (now only a small piece of handsoap provided). Bit more furniture in the corridors to improve atmosphere.

Located in the historic old city of Brno, this hotel is clean and well maintained. Decor and furnishings are vintage late 1970's. It was probably the last word in creature comforts when the Central Committee of the Czechoslovak Communist Party stayed here. Removable showerhead hangs at face level. Rooms have wifi and a small, "portable" TV of the kind I remember from childhood. Little bakery across the street.

cheap, silent and very simple hotel in the center of Brno ;)
we are sportsmen and we were interested in good rest and comfort at night. And I was pleased with this place(sorry for my english :) ). You go to the main entrance, and in 3-5 minutes you appeared in a beautiful Brno. It's very easy and comfortable, because youdo not need to take taxi or another meabs of transport.
Once again I apologize for my horrible english.

When I had my car broken and called the hotel to say that I could not come the girl said it was my own problem, refused to pronounce her name clearly and charged my card. They do not care how they make money. Disgusting attitude.

Convenient hotel. Retro charm. Location is excellent. Rooms very big. Bathroom also big with tub and 2 sinks. The only thing I did not like was the breakfast. Bad coffee, not a lot of variety. I would reccommend this hotel.
