A really special hotel in a great central location. Inside the hotel everything looks new and fresh. The rooms were absolutely spotless, with good large bathrooms. The complimentary mini bar contained water, soft drinks and also beer from the brewery on site. The hotel restaurant and bar is well worth a visit. It serves excellent food and a choice of beers brewed on site, all at great value for money. Breakfast quality and choice is first class. Reception staff, Veronica, Renatta and Eva were very helpful in making it a perfect place to stay.

I've stayed here many a weeks on multiple business trips to the Czech Republic. The hotel is located near the downtown square. There is a Pivovarska (restaurant/brewery) downstairs which has an enticing environment and excellent food to boot. The hotel rooms are decent, the breakfast is ever-present in the mornings, and the front desk staff - friendly and helpful.

Just a fair warning though, the doors to the hotel close at night and at what time, I haven't a clue. Getting in requires buzzing and having a receptionist let you in, thus foiling any attempts at secrecy.

Room Tip: Being located right downtown. you'll hear commotion from the street at nights - the kind of sounds that have drawn many beings out to forego sleep and explore. Oh, and there's no Air Conditioning so one must find other ways to achieve deep slumber if so desired.

My husband and I stayed for three nights while in Brno to visit museums, churches, and the Villa Tugendhat. The Hotel Pegas was perfectly located for our purposes. We could walk everywhere.

We had read here that there is construction next door to the hotel and it was still underway during our visit. We asked for a quiet room and were located on the fourth floor. Our room was indeed quiet. The downside is that there are no English language cable television stations or a strong wifi signal on that floor. It wasn't a problem for us, but it might be for others.

Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The mini fridge was stocked with free mineral water, soda, and beer from the onsite brew pub. The staff was helpful and friendly. The breakfast offered everything we could want.

Having a onsite brew pub/restaurant is a big plus. The beer was terrific, however our food was far too salty for our taste.

And just a word about Brno ... It was a huge and pleasant surprise. There are far more cultural offerings than we anticipated. We wished we had another day or two to spend visiting them.

The Pegas, located above the pub and Brewery of the same name, is a lovely little hotel.

Rooms are massive with comfortable beds and a free mini-bar stocked with some of the production from the brewery downstairs.

I stayed during a particularly hot time in the city, with night-time temperatures not dropping below 30C and the lack of air-conditioning in the rooms made sleep difficult (and on one particularly muggy night, impossible)

The hotel has provided fans and clearly, given the nature of the building, installing air-conditioning may simply not be practical. Certainly this would be a great hotel to visit outside of the heat of summer.

Staff were all very friendly and helpful and the food and drink in the bar/brewery beneath the hotel were outstanding.

Positives
Location
Excellent food and drink

Negatives
Lack of Air-Con on hot nights
