When I was a young student at the Masaryk University (early seventies :-) we spent a lot of time at this place - the beer was cheap and the ambiance was very proletarian. Returning back after more than 40 years was a surprise. Clean pub with friendly staff and excellent food. The horseradish gravy (sauce) with bread dumplings and italian sausages was so good that even now I'm salivating...

We have been there, food was excellent, service good, but what a bitter aftertaste when we found out they tried to overcharge us...

Placed in downtown Brno at a corner of Obilni Trh park this traditional place serves fabulous Czech cuisine and beer. Highly recommended for all who wish to sit in a nice environment with a glass of delicious Czech beer in hand. Five stars!

If you're looking for a traditional Czech pub experience, you must visit this pub. The interior is maybe not that posh but this is not what you're looking for when you want to hang out with friends and have a beer or two.

First thing you will love is the beer they serve. It's Pilsner, which is probably the best Czech beer exported to many countries all around the world. Second thing you will appreciate is that this pub has its own smokehouse so the meat you are served was prepared directly here.

You must have their ribs when you're here. They cost around 6 eur (8 dollars) for 0,5 kg and they're amazing! I also tried the Moravian pork boiled in dark beer with spinach sauce and potato dumpling - very tasty.

The service is quick and you can sit here with locals and enjoy the atmosphere of real Czech pub. Really, don't pass it by.
