Good price- 48 euro. I took the basic room. Outside there was a kitchen and the smell was horrible. I could open the windows only after 11 p.m.
There is no air condition in the rooms and I think that in summer it can be a problem.
There is a new gym- very nice-quite small. What is more, the customer care is perfect.

In general speaking, for week-end, it is good place to go!

Room Tip: not in front of the kitchen

This hotel is one of the best Best Western hotel I have ever stayed in. The rooms are very very comfortable, the bathroom looks nice. The bed was really wonderful, it was fantastic to sleep in:) Everything worked well, staff is very nice. The location of the hotel is not ideal, but it is very easy to get everywhere in Ostrava.

I have been visiting Ostrava for 3 years now and just found out about Hotel Vista! But so glad i did!!!!

The Vista has a perfect location just outside the city centre, near "Dubina" which was perfect as my girlfriend is from Ostrava so visiting friends in the area. The hotel is very modern, clean and has gone through a MAJOR transformation to look just like German hotel's! It is bright and attractive from the outside as well!

We booked the Business room which was a little small but more on the size of "Comfortable" Bathroom was very modern, and the room was decorated perfectly. The private business center downstairs was perfect to use for printing, copying etc. in peace and privacy which was free to use. Breakfast was included in the rate, and was incredible, you cannot stay in this hotel and not go to the breakfast.

Staff speak perfect English and could not be more friendly or helpful, they were top class and the security guard to enter the car park was superb, very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is only 5 min by car to Nova Carolina (the new shopping mall that no English shopping centre could compete with) + Tesco is a couple of minutes away as well.

Overall the hotel was perfect and for the price, it is 110% recommended for anyone visiting Ostrava who want a cheap yet good quality and safe place to stay. The price for this quality hotel in Czech is not very cheap so to find it for around £50 a night was a bargain!!!

They messed up our reservation which had been made with booking.com, forcing us to share a double room although they had confirmed two single rooms.

The reception staff was bureaucratic and unsmiling.

In order to get to the room we had to first go up a flight of stairs, and then take the elevator from there. The room was very adequate.

We did try the bar late at night. The drink selection was reasonable and reasonably-priced but they did not offer much in the way of late-night snacks (only a few desserts).

It wasn't terrible but there might well be other hotels in Ostrava that would be more appealing to tourists used to Wetsern European or North American hotels -- the Vista wouldn't last one week in (say) San Francisco.

There is not any cons to say about this hotel. This hotel has very kind stuff and the room I stayed in was every day cleaned. The hotel is exactly like the pictures shows. Clean and modern. It's also pet friendly, but it costs little bit extra. The hotel has also private parking area which is monitored by surveillance cameras. I had to extend my reservation for two nights after the check in, so it happened without any problems or extra charges. Try the bar located on the second floor. It has the most kind personnel I have ever seen on the bars.

We found this hotel by accident, and first impressions were that it would be outside our budget as it has a large reception area in the style of an upmarket business hotel, and an attendant on the car park barrier who checks vehicles in and out (which is great for security). However, the price was very reasonable for bed and breakfast for two people.

The rooms are in a tower block, and are spacious and comfortable with good views. There are lifts to the rooms, but there is a flight of stairs before you reach them.

Our twin room was en suite with a very lively shower that was not only invigorating, but liberally sprayed around the whole bathroom unless you were careful - I like to think of it as character.

For food, we used the hotel's formal restaurant which is a very upmarket affair. The sign on the door says no T-shirts or shorts, but we were welcomed in with jeans and T-shirts (we were the only people eating that evening). The menu was rich and varied, the service excellent, and the prices a mere fraction of what you would pay for a meal of similar quality in the UK. The only down side is that, as is common with that calibre of meal, the portion size was a little on the small side.

Breakfast the next morning, included in the room rate, was in a buffet-style with bread, cheese, meat, eggs, pastries and cereals. An interesting mixture of local foods and more western food, and all of it very tasty. Coffee was available courtesy of an elegant bowl of instant coffee and a hot water urn.

Parking at the hotel is chargeable, and I tried to negotiate a discount for motorbikes over the car rate without success. It was only afterwards that I realised that I was haggling over less than one pound!

If you were visiting Ostrava itself then it is in the suburbs and not the town centre, but it is very good value for money and there is a tram stop near by which would take you in to town.
