came here for my brothers wedding breakfast, i felt the food was of a high quality, quick service, 5 courses for 50+ people but dealt with all that with ease. Staff friendly, cant say about price cos i didnt have to pay, but whole place was busy with other parties so must have been not too bad

We were upgraded to the 'Yachting' wing as our rooms in the main building were not ready. Plus as it was hot the Yachting ones had balconies and air con. Fantastic rooms, very clean and spacious. Very well equipped and the huge balcony overlooking the marina was a plus. A short walk from the old town but in a quiet area. The lobby bar was modern and nice for a drink. Real star was the Brovarnia micro brewery. Great beer and the food was excellent too. Sat on the terrace many a time with a cool 'Pszeniczne' beer. All staff were professional and very friendly. Breakfasts were buffest with good selection of cold and cooked foods. They did poached eggs etc on request. All in all a faultless hotel and would definately stay there again if visiting Gdansk.

Room Tip: Yachting rooms best in summer as have aircon , have balconies. 'Granary' rooms are in a thic...

I’ve spent a 3-day business trip in the Yachting wing of Hotel Gdansk. In this modern building room design reflects „yachting lifestyle”. (The older building called the „Granary” hosts the reception, the restaurant and a pub and has been renovated according to its one-time look.) The room was clear, light, well equipped and big enough for a business traveler. I was satisfied with the quantity and quality of the breakfast and dinner. Although preparing the invoice caused some confusion for the receptionists they were really kind and helpful. The hotel has a spa section on the top of the Yachting wing but I did not have time to try it. Its biggest benefit is that the charming and spectacular Gdansk downtown is within a comfortable 10-minutes walk.

If you think you are staying in the Granary, think again. We thought we booked into the Granary but on arrival were shown to the 'new' Yachting section of the hotel. The room was smart yet tiny, hardly room to 'swing a cat' and instead of looking over the marine we overlooked the building site at the back along with its noise at 7 in the morning!
Also despite being assured that the bar would be open till late depending on the number of customers; the manager closed it at 11 oclock each night and this is supposed to be a 4 star hotel. I would rather stay at the Hilton. Breakfast is very good but is a little unreliable. If you think you might have omelette, for example, don't rely on it being available next day.

The hotel Gdansk consists of two parts. The historical old granary, with red bricks walls and small windows and the second modern building in the back.
My room was in the first, beautiful part, however I spent sleepless night, because the lack of air condition in my cramped and low celling room. The second part, not very nice, but modern, with AC and bigger rooms, offers paradoxically much better conditions and comfort.
The location is very interesting. The marina on the other side of the street and walking distance to the most famous streets of Old Gdansk. The staff is very kind and useful, especially for foreigners, giving them the valuable recommendations and advices.
Good option for dinning on place is Restaurant Brovaria, with big choice of brewed by themselves beers.

Chose this hotel because of other good reviews and wasn't disappointed. Within easy walking distance of the Old Town. main attractions and the railway station. Price we paid included breakfast which was a great selection of cereals, cold meats, cheeses, bread, bacon, sausages, freshly cooked choice of eggs, cakes, fruits & yogurts etc. The room was very clean and comfy. Very clean bathroom with brilliant shower pressure. The hotel has a micro brewery, brewing their own selection of beers - dark, wheat and lager - all of which we tried and enjoyed. The Brovarnia also serves tasty Polish food, all served by helpful, pleasant staff. We had decided before we went that we would eat one night in hotel and other nights in various restaurants out and about but the weather was so cold, and the hotel so warm and the food so nice we ate in the hotel every night!! We did try the restaurant one night and that was just as good. Excellent choice on both menus. There were also a lot of locals eating in the hotel which in my opinion is a good sign.
We wanted to make the most of visiting the area and went to Gydnia and Sopot. The staff on reception desk - especially Violetta - could not have been more helpful. She checked times for trains, trams and buses and made some excellent suggestions for places to visit. Also had a massage whcih was wonderful and highly recommended.
All in all this hotel was excellent and I would highly recommend this for anyone considering a few days in Gdansk.

An old granary turned into a hotel. The hotel is situated 10 minutes walk from the old town in Gdansk. Very clean and fresh. Fairly large rooms with fridge and free safety box. Beds were ok but the pillows a bit hard (no alternatives available). Free WiFi is available but was a bit slow. The staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast buffet was good. The microbrewery at the hotel brewing three kinds of beer (light, dark, and wheat) is a bonus. For the price Hotel Gdansk offers great value.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Hotel Gdansk is the best boutique hotel in the Tricity and a true flagship hotel of Gdansk. Uniquely situated by the picturesque yacht marina, in the heart of the city, the hotel is often recognized as a special place in the city center. The hotel has two synergic components - a granary from the XVIIIth century, restored with great attention to detail, enchanting with its elegance and history, and the Yachting part, whose modern decorating themes infuse the interiors with a sea-inspired look. Thus, the fascinating history and traditions of the city of Gdansk are strongly present in the both parts of Hotel Gdansk. The Spa in Hotel Gdansk is one of the most modern and fashionable Spas at the Baltic coast, and one of the best Med Spas in Poland.Hotel Gdansk Restaurant is an unusual restaurant in a unique place. It serves exquisite dishes of Polish and Gdansk regional cuisine. The mini-brewery is a great addition to the boutique complex and a very interesing attraction for Hotel Gdansk guests, who may here try the best beer in Poland. Our Schwarzbier (dark beer) received this title during the prestigious beer contest in Zywiec 2011. There is always someting interesting happening in our brewery. At least 3 times a week you can enjoy live music. ... more   less
