Chose this hotel as would be in Gdansk in November so wanted somewhere with an indoor pool/ sauna/ steam room incase the weather was bad. Plus it looked new with high standard interior.
It delivered !
Room selections appear to mainly be patio view, king, deluxe king (and a range of suites). Booked a king Hilton room as noted that patio view was interal courtyard rooms with no exterior view. Hoped some King Hilton rooms would be overlooking the river but when checked by email was unfortunately was told only Deluxe rooms have a river view.
However, the allocated room was nice, despite no river view. Had a room on floor 4 (of 5 floors) on the West side of the building with long views down the street and over the house roofs to the old town and could see the spires etc of the old town.
So there was a nice view and the room itself, whilst relatively plain, was of a high quality and had a nice bathroom.
The interior communal areas were all modern and tastefully done. Used the ground floor bar rather than the 5 th floor- although in summer the 5th floor with its roof top area would be the place to go.
The roof top pool area was great – never busy, with the pool, sauna and steam room. Plus for the summer an outside seating area.
The only downside was that breakfast seemed a bit pricey so unfortunately didn’t take them up on that at 70 zlote (£14) per person per day.
Reading the few 1 or 2 star reviews on trip advisor for this hotel I think applies to those people who sometimes stay in the patio view rooms. They are not much cheaper than standard Hilton king rooms, so maybe avoid those. If I was the hotel I’d do away with those then it may be the no 1 on trip advisor !
Overall, they are on to a winner here, Nice décor, on the river edge, pool area, views – what a package ! I’d definitely recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: If you dont have a deluxe room booked, ask for a high floor room on the west side

This hotel is great. And the friendly staff made the 5-star experience complete. There was only one major drawback with this hotel - the bed. The matress was very hard and ruined the sleep for both my wife and me. Hope you will replace them with some softer once soon.

It's got the feel of a Hilton but is smaller and friendly. Nice and clean and spacious. Not a typical Hilton Conference Hotel so you wouldn't feel out of place if you were not on business. The location is very nice, the view from the 5th floor bar is lovely. If you like sushi you must walk to Dom Sushi which is 1 minute along the river and is really excellent.

Stayed here for one night. The usual chain hotel. Awful dreary breakfast room . No fresh juice and coffee not good. Staff OK. I wish it would reflect some of the history of Gdansk and its past instead of being the usual corporate style

My wife and I spent 4 nights in Hilton Gdansk during our vacations in Poland last week.
Checking-in (as well as checking-out) was quick and hassle-free.
Our standard room with a view of a small park and silent street was decorated and equipped typically for a 5-star property of Hilton chain (comfortable bed with crisp linen; high quality bathroom amenities; bathrobes; sleepers). Tea/coffee making facilities include good instant coffee, cream and fine selection of teas that were refilled daily. Two bottles of water daily were also complimentary.
Hilton Gdansk is situated on the waterfront and actually is located at almost equal walking distance (15 minutes) to main tourist attractions in the heart of the town. The central part of Gdansk is “packed” by restaurants, cafés, pubs and other eateries where one can have a break while going sightseeing or amber-shopping (although in our opinion amber jewelry is overpriced in most of Gdansk galleries). Some of tearooms are opened from 6 a.m. There are also lots of convenient stores (some of them are opened 24 hours) and Madison Shopping Center (15 minute walk).
Hilton Gdansk is close to Gdansk Central railway and bus stations (20 – 25 minute walk) and can be a convenient starting point for day trips to Malbork (that definitely is “a must”), Oliva (for its famous Cathedral with organ) or Sopot.
We can’t comment on other hotel facilities, because we didn’t use them.
One more tip for those, who is planning vacations in Poland: double check the dates of public Polish holidays, because the most number of tourist attractions, shops, restaurants ets. is closed and it can be definitely hard even to find a place to eat (besides the hotel restaurants), especially in the morning.
