Great rooms, nice glass art theme trough the whole building. The surroundings is near the old town and almost everyone working around this area speaks english. Hilton offers good service and good food. We would recomend this place and town for anyone to visit.

This is a fantastic hotel by the waterfront. The spa on the top floor has some excellent views! The led lights in the steam sauna are a nice touch. The staff were very helpful and provided me with some routes to run. The hotel is a little out of the way so you would have to take a cab to get to some of the major land marks but otherwise this is excellent!

The hotel is well situated in the old town of Gdansk and has attractive views of the waterfront. Checkin was fast, friendly and efficient. The room, a standard king, was large and very comfortable and everything was in good order. The breakfast buffet was included in my room rate and was superb. I also ate both evenings in the bar - club sandwich one night and salad the other and the food quality was very good. The service in the bar was excellent.

Location is superb.
Service is superb.
Breakfast is superb.
Gym is superb (and open 24 hours a day)
Swimming pool and sauna seems great although I didn't use them.
Room is superb, quite large and well equipped.
Most comfortable large bed.
Next time in Gdansk no doubt I will be back and stay at the Hilton.

Great location, great restaurant and great spa. Gdansk is relatively easy to get around and the Hilton makes a wonderful base to come back to when you have explored and shopped. We enjoyed treatments in the spa but even if you don't the Hi Bar gives a great vantage point to enjoy a cocktail and look out over the town. We ate at the restaurant and the service was the very best, all our meals were excellent. The spa treatments were good value for money and exactly what was needed to relax and unwind. First class but unobtrusive service at the Hilton. The rooms were comfortable and clean.

Hilton Gdansk

This review is an attempt to combine experiences from 3 stays at Hilton Gdansk this year with last one just finished.

I am Gold member in Hilton's HHonors program and each time I stayed with Hilton Gdansk I was upgraded to Superior room with the river view. Twice room was with the balcony, once room did not have balcony but had an angled panoramic window instead (If you need darkness to sleep, I'd avoid this room - it has one motorized curtain to cover entire window and have too much light leaking from the edges). Balconies have quite strange designs - they are essentially glass boxes without any openings, so not having one would not be a big issue

Superior rooms I've been to all have bathrooms with separate shower cubicle (water flow unimpressive and not very hot at times) and the bath, toiletries are standard Peter Thomas Roth (I like them). King size bed and sofa bed was provided. On my 2nd stay sofa bed had obvious cigarette burn in it so I am not sure how strictly no smoking ban is enforced (room didn't smell of smoke so it might be an exception). Room has 2 bottles of mineral water (still and sparkling) replenished daily, bathrobe/slipers were also provided. Mild disappointment about the room is number of switches one need to use for a room to go dark (after turndown service turns everything on, it's 5).

Minibar - typically priced for major chain hotel - beers at 17, soft drinks at 12-20 and spirits 25-35, snacks 10-15. Poor value in my opinion given one can buy beer or large bottle of water for ~3 in the small grocery shop across the street (rate ~3 PLN/$).

Business centre has 2 desktop PCs and the printer and is mostly empty. Use of the PCs is free of charge. Internet is free for a basic option which is more than adequate for the day to day stuff, including video streaming and skype calls. there is faster pay-for option available but I would not take it.

Gym is real disappointment. It is very small and have only 3 cardio machines (elliptic, treadmill and the bike) - granted it is mostly empty but when your favourite tool is occupied there is nothing else to do but wait.

Breakfast is great, if price is included into room rate, too expensive (PLN 70) otherwise. Have good spread of standard breakfast items, eggs to order menu (with basic stuff like fried eggs/omelette for free and more fancy ones like eggs arlington for a supplement of ~25). All varieties of the coffee (espresso etc.) are available on order. As a nice gesture (which seem to be common in hotels in Poland I've been to), breakfast offering includes sparkling wine.

There are 2 bars (on the ground floor and rooftop) and a restaurant. Downstairs bar is really quite bad value for money. I had "classic burger" there and was not impressed - McDonalds should fear not for the competition. Restaurant (Mercato) on other hand is quite popular and have separate page on tripadvisor. I've eaten there and apart of the fact it's more expensive than other restaurants around, food is quite tasty, so if you don't fancy to go out, eat there by all means. There are 10+ restaurants within 100m walking distance from the hotel so eating out shall never be a problem.

There is a spa and rooftop swimming pool (~15m long). Pool area also has steam room/sauna, and can be quite crowded, especially on weekends.

One of hotel's unique features is "personalised" news digest they hang on to room door handle each morning. This essentially is a collection of various news items from BBC - and is targeted to your home country, e.g. they have Britain, US, French, International, German and other editions available (also available in the restaurant and at the reception). Amount of news is about right to be consumed at the breakfast.

Internet is quite fast and reliable - actually so much reliable that I had no problem accessing the internet from the restaurant across the street from the hotel. "Free" option is more than adequate for everything including video streaming, so don't rush to buy "upgraded" version unless you need to. Interestingly, it is one of the few hotels where one don't have to enter room number/last name every time one logs in - system remembers your device for up to 10 days.

Room Tip: try to be upgraded into riverview room.

good waterfront location close to the old town.clean rooms with really comfy bed. excellent breakfast buffet. The rooftop bar isn't all it's cracked up to be...but I guess it's better in the summer when you can sit out on the terrace.
