I stayed over in Hotel Hanza for two nights when visiting Gdansk. The reception was friendly and the doorman was very friendly helping to find a parking spot close to the hotel.

The room was in rather poor shape. All fixtures and fittings are old and cheap. The hotel does not look like a 4 star and/or business hotel. This is an example of post-socialism not being upgraged for ages. The view from the room was nice though.

The breakfast is rather poor. There was amazingly long queue to the coffee machine (only 1 coffee machine serving large number guests). I understand that owner treats hotel as a cash-cow and is, obviously, unwilling to invest in renovation but is another coffee machine really too much?

Hotel Hanza has a nice location but it needs renovation badly. As things are now, you can find better options in Gdansk.

Nice, clean hotel with perfect location in old town.
Our three night booking included breakfast, a very nice three course dinner and a spa treatment, check for this at the hotel homepage, very pricy!
Staff was very friendly and helpfull

We have just returned from a great weekend comfortable and airythis charming, well located hotel in central Gdansk.
Rooms were light and airy, comfortable well equipped and both of ours on the third floor were quite spacious with a small balcony outside. Bathrooms, including bath and overbath shower were also well equipped and spacious.
Central to the bars and restaurants, the historic buildings, and waterside walks this excellent hotel would fulfill all the needs of a weekend visitor or at other times the business person
Breakfast gives a great range of choices of both of time and food and the dinner menu, also served in the charming waterside restaurant has a good choice of appropriate dishes.
If you are visiting Gdansk you couldn't do better.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front look over the water those at the back over a quiet street.

I stayed here on business for two nights. The location is terrific for tourists or business travelers. It's right on the water, so there are dozens of good restaurants and bars within walking distance. The main square in old town is very close, too. The rooms are good sized for Europe, and the restaurant at the hotel itself serves an above-average breakfast. My only complaint is that the rooms have few & hard-to-reach outlets, the elevator is small & slow, and the shower is not American-friendly.

Room Tip: One person in our group had a room on the top floor without a real window. If I stayed there again...

This hotel hardly merits the glowing reports on the site. Rooms are standard, most of them facing a car park. The decoration could have looked trendy in the 90's when Poland was experimenting the changes but is now sadly outdated.... Looks like a standard, rather tired 3 star hotel.
Nice but incompetent staff. Location is good though, but all in all you can find much better elsewhere.

Arrived late at night to very friendly reception staff. Room was beautifully furnished and large, 2 double beds. Breakfast was varied including fish, meats, continental and hot. Excellent all round. Location right on the harbour side so you can watch boats whilst viewing from the restaurant. Would definitely return. Good value too.
