I stayed over in Hotel Hanza for two nights when visiting Gdansk. The reception was friendly and the doorman was very friendly helping to find a parking spot close to the hotel.
The room was in rather poor shape. All fixtures and fittings are old and cheap. The hotel does not look like a 4 star and/or business hotel. This is an example of post-socialism not being upgraged for ages. The view from the room was nice though.
The breakfast is rather poor. There was amazingly long queue to the coffee machine (only 1 coffee machine serving large number guests). I understand that owner treats hotel as a cash-cow and is, obviously, unwilling to invest in renovation but is another coffee machine really too much?
Hotel Hanza has a nice location but it needs renovation badly. As things are now, you can find better options in Gdansk.
