Huge medieval castle partially destroyed during IIWW by nazis. It's been restored but obviously the inside is a bit empty of furniture, as there's almost nothing left. I enjoyed a lot this visit partially thanks to the audioguide included in the price of the ticket (although after 2 hours it starts to be annoying!). I'd recommend this visit to anyone that visits Gdansk as it's very close (1h by train).

“Malbork teutonic castle”
Reviewed 6 August 2014

The only one in it's kind. It only gets more and more interesting with progressing renovation. It is hard to see everything in just one day. Lots of additional attractions is avaliable during vacation seasons.

“Beautiful exterior - confusing interior”
Reviewed 5 August 2014

I was really excited about this castle, but when we got there they didn't have any audio-guides left and next walk with English guide was in 2 hours. So we went inside by ourselves, after asking the ticket selling lady if there are information in English inside the castle - she said yes. And she was partially right, there were some information but in some places we just had to guess what was the room used for in past. Sometimes there were just information in polish or German language - frankly, i expected more from UNESCO heritage. Also the marking of route inside the castle was really confusing, some rooms were open but they had closed doors so you weren't sure if you can come in etc....
Otherwise it was really beautiful walk in the castle, some rooms were really interesting like kitchen or pooping tower :D and their heating system, which we discovered only by coincidence. Castle visit lasts for cca 3 hours.
I recommend you to go inside only with audio-guide, although i don't know the quality of their audio info. Also you should try the traditional Slavic drink kwas chlebovy, which they are selling near the exit, its delicious!

“Super!”
Reviewed 27 July 2014 via mobile

Just came back after having a great day at the castle of Malbork. The castle is really big and old. You can feel the history. We have booked an English tour. The tour was organised by a friendly Polish lady and she was very excited to share her knowledge with us. It is definitely worth it to visit the castle of Malborg if you are in the Nort of Poland. You can spend easily a whole day at the castle if you are really interested in the history of the knights and monks. One advise for the ladies: wear comfortable shoes because of the small bricks on the floor.

“Beautiful structure but expected a little more inside”
Reviewed 24 July 2014 via mobile

What an amazing structure with a beautiful renovation. We did the audio tour as English speaking tours are only offered three times daily. The audio tour we took was very dry. One of our devices didn't work properly and by the time we figured it out we were too deep into the castle. We actually stopped using it and just toured ourselves. Certainly something to see but I don't know if I'd recommend any more than a couple hours to roam the castle and grounds. Beautiful place to see but unfortunately I don't feel I got the history lesson I was looking for. Maybe a guide would have been better.
